Actually, I got it wrong. Only the gunboats have the forward facing gun, everything else has turrets. About average on speed and damage with everything... but still, should be neat as a fleet. And you've got a bunch of mini submarines as boarding craft.

Oh, I know what they did. They traded out the bombers for gunships, and you've got pocket battleships instead of a proper one.

I reckon I'll leave the painting, I got the last little details on the bases sorted so the night hasn't been a total waste. And I'll get up and paint tomorrow, as well as sorting the base edging out.

So then Ed, if I got a starter and a Brit Air starter that would give me over 1500 points and I would never need anything again? What is the story with tiny fliers by the way?

Tiny fliers are planes, you decide what kind they are.

I'm not sure what the rules are with Australia and other fleets, but 1500 points is quite a bit. The thing I will say is that some of the other types of ships, like carriers and dreadnoughts, can be a good investment. The Britannia dreadnought is a really good one.

Heh, frankly? Start with 500 :-P 1500 points is a lot in this game. I think for my Antarctica, that's two cruiser squadrons, a Battleship and Dreadnought with escorts, an air battleship, an air carrier, corvettes, two destroyer squads, a set of medium fliers... at that point, it's a modern naval task force!

You get a squadron of fliers for free at the start of a game, but any others need a carrier. The other advantage of a carrier is refueling, plus the ability

Heh, always glad to help with good games. I don't know what the special rules are for Australia, I only really know those for Antarctica and France.

And I'll have to remember that for something, Mako. The Ability....must make use of that.
