edonil
Right now I'm thinking a Warden of the Sky...basically a dnd monk with Force powers and a fighter pilot.
Mako
Heh, nice. I'm kind of wondering what to do with the weekend. Got a few bits to do, but around that I'm not sure I have any idea which project to work on.
edonil
I have homework to do this weekend. Woe is me and all that, lol. On the upside, got the story all done, so I got some writing done this week. I'll take that as a win. Hoping to get to try the airbrush tomorrow. Mako
I don't like you people and your actual decent useable kitchens, with stuff in them... ---------- Post added at 03:55 AM ---------- Previous post was at 03:54 AM ---------- Ah well, I'm meeting shine and going to the local store tomorrow, so there'll be piles of infinity, warmachine, malifaux, anything I want to stare at and wish I possessed. Heh
Mister Monkey
Ooo real local gaming store.... sounds nice.
Mako
Yup. Prices are good too, so I'm a happy camper. Though I can never decide what I want, or if I should get it! ---------- Post added at 04:34 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:13 AM ---------- Huh, that casting went better than I thought. Not much flash or mould line, detail seems to have held, and only one tiny bubble on the tip of one foot by the looks of it

Mako
Cheers monkey! I'll clean one up and spray it tomorrow I think, take a picture of the second cast next to the prepped and primed one.

Mako
Me too lol. It's always so different having them painted up, or at least primed, than actually finishing the sculpt. Makes it all feel so much more finished.
edonil
This, is the best thing...ever.

edonil
It's from Rusty and Co., the adventuring monsters. Main cast is a gelatinous cube, a Mimic and a rust monster. It's hilarious!
Mako
Hah, I think that's another one to add to my reading list!
edonil
So, I got Chris hooked on Girl Genius...which got me reading through the archives...and now I have a Higgs theory. What if he's the guy they're talking about in here: http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20120516
Mako
Ooh, he could be! It would certainly explain his insanely good healing, knowing the castle, and gasp riots other little oddities. Like drinking in the real mamma gkinka's...
edonil
Yeah. It's a fun theory, we'll see if it's true. Alright, I really need to get some sleep now, lol. See you lot later. (waves)
Lord Shaper
Look at what I was working on today!
edonil
Well, that was interesting...just tried out the airbrush, and not sure what I think about it just yet. I really like the speed at which I was able to basecoat stuff, but it had problems keeping a consistent airflow of paint, so when I tried to do anything more complex, didn't work. Need to do some more research, that's for sure, because it actually was a lot of fun. My biggest complaint is the amount of paint I need just to get the thing going, feel like I wasted a ton of paint there!
Pierzasty
If you regret wasting paint, just compare the price of paint vs the time required to prime/basecoat/roughly shade a dragon/vehicle-sized model. It'll start looking better immediately. What do you mean about consistent airflow? Pressure or sputtering?
edonil
The air pressure was fine, I just had times when I pressed the button and no paint came out, but I could hear the air blowing. Oh, I'm not too worried about wasting paint, I just need to find a smaller jar than the one I got...don't need something that big most of the time.
