edonil
Eh. My history tends to be better medieval and Roman time than in the past century...so I'd say no. But I might be biased.

edonil
I know WWII pretty well, but nothing super detailed previous until you hit Fuedalism. And very little about the Dark Ages. Time of the Romans was probably my biggest, but that makes sense considering what I'm training for, cultural context is a little important for Biblical interpretation. Mister Monkey
Yeah WWII is probably my best knowledge base, then a smattering of everything else with more knowledge on ones I have researched for armies
Mako
I know random scraps of stuff from all over the place, but no actual coherent time period or region! Also, ed, I like how it worked out. She is an annoying little shrike, isn't she. Lol and a well written awkward moment too!
edonil
Honestly, I had no idea what to do once I hit that moment, then I figured Steam is probably familiar with them and he seemed the logical way to defuse it! And I'm glad that Adell came across exactly as intended, lol. Now I need to figure out which scene to jump back to and work on...

edonil
Pretty good. Good night at work, and lots of inspiration from Elle. Just wrapping up another scene, so I've managed to get two of the four she's got in mind done. woot! \o/

SteamHammer
Glad it's a Wednesday. Means I can shoot arrows at things. Plus I got an email to say my inifinity stuff is on the way.
edonil
Sweet! What'd you end up getting for Infinity?
SteamHammer
Moira boxset and a couple of individual models that I'd initially picked out to support the regular nomad box and forgot to change. I'm sure they'll still work, if not then they can proxy stuff.
edonil
They should work. Only thing that I can think of that might be a problem would be if you run Sectorials, but no real reason to do that. Still waiting to mess around with the ME2 armor coloration bits?
SteamHammer
No sectorials for a long time until I know I both understand and like the game. I reckon so, although I can see the usual trouble of making a nice colour combo in ME2 and not having the painting skills to put it on a mini. edonil
Sectorials aren't too much more complicated than regular lists, but probably a good plan for now.
SteamHammer
They can come later if I get the rule books for fluff. And I'd need more models.
edonil
Because I'm curious, what single pieces did you snag?
SteamHammer
A hellcat and alguacil with hmg and a tomcat (can't remember the loadout).
Lord Shaper
I printed off the downloadable rules for infinity but haven't had a game yet... as far as I know I have enough for a small game but who know's if it's competitive
SteamHammer
Competitive be damned, I want to know if it's fun. Admittedly there is an overlap between the two as you're unlikely to have fun if you always get hammered in the game.
edonil
Those should definitely be handy, Steam. Nice array of options for stuff. Shaper, odds are you can make it competitive. One of the nice things about Infinity, if you brought the right options you can probably make it work no matter how odd it seems. On a separate note, I finally got beyond the word count for the first draft of my novel! ---------- Post added at 06:11 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:10 AM ---------- What faction did you pick, Shaper? Pierzasty
Did someone say Infinity? Moira boxset I call shenanigans. The Moira box hasn't even been announced yet, let alone arrived in stores. Or are you talking about the Bakunin starter? If you want advice on list building/tactics. I can help. I think I still have a bunch of Nomads, so it may even be somewhat relevant *grin* BTW, do we have an Infinity thread? One of the nice things about Infinity, if you brought the right options you can probably make it work no matter how odd it seems. It's blatantly wrong. It's actually the other way around - no matter what you bought, you can make it work, but if you forget about proper tactical plan it will murder you. Also, I hope you're talking about printing the re-edited rules. Edited March 13, 2013 by Pierzasty
SteamHammer
Bakunin, it has one moira unit and I'm not that clued up on it. I wasn't aware of another box on the way. No need for list building or tactics. It will probably be a matter of using all the models I have and getting slaughtered in a glorious fashion. But maybe if/when I enjoy it then I'll worry about things like that and ask for help.

I picked up the basic box set, a couple of Intruders, a Reverend Custodier, a Interventor and a Spektr which has a sniper My idea was I prefer the helmets and I was basing it on those
