edonil
They live in their own little world. It's a strange place. True though that is, they'll tick off the puppets and then we're all in trouble.

SteamHammer
True though that is, they'll tick off the puppets and then we're all in trouble. Best put Z on speed dial. We're bound to need her later.
edonil
I think you might be correct there, Steam. By the way, Chocobo, thanks for the grins, needed something to amuse myself with. So, best thing about working out a drawing for a gaming table that I'm building- I can throw scale pretty much out the window as I work out what I want where, and just label stuff how large I want them, lol. SteamHammer
You've still got to keep storage in mind. It soon adds up.
edonil
True, which does suck. I've got the overall dimensions laid out, 6 2ft x 2ft sections, with a maximum height from the wooden base of about four inches. The biggest difficulty, honestly, will be transportation more than storage. Where I live right now I've got a good amount of storage space in the basement, but moving it from home to the shop may involve multiple trips to keep things from breaking. The original idea was to store it at home, but that may not be workable unless I make the tank trap/razorwire sections cutout modulars along with the other non-hill terrain....actually, that might be the best way to do that. Thanks Steam!

edonil
A 4'x6' board? That's pretty standard for a 40k size table... ---------- Post added at 05:57 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:56 AM ---------- Or, if you prefer metric, it's a 1+extra meter x 2-extra meter board. :-p
edonil
If anyone is curious what the layout of the board is, I finally figured out how to make it into a pdf in the right scale (yay trying to teach myself autocad off a trial copy... o.o), so here you go.Trenches.pdf
Mako
Ah yeah, been so long since I went near 40k that I'd forgotten how big the tables had to be! Looks good though, but carting it around might well be tricky!

Dustcrusher
Those Dragonforge bases, Shaper? I decided a long time ago that I have to use Puppet Wars stuff if I ever make a Collodi crew, probably in place of the Marionettes. Going to try to finish up my Rasputina crew this weekend for a demo night on Monday. Got some more stuff based up and I've rediscovered the wonderful thing that is Loctite Gel superglue. I don't think I'm ever buying Zap-a-Gap again- every freaking tube I've ever used has had the tip dry up so bad that I have to use pins and pliers to get the dried glue out. Lord Shaper
Nah those are Secret Weapon Trench bases... I'm going to have the Iron trench as corragated cardboard and sandbags as pillows
edonil
Heh, that's a use for those bases I hadn't thought of, I'm using them for my Thousand Sons army, actually.
Dustcrusher
Thought those looked familiar. I got some of their Rocky Bluff bases for my Ortegas and a few other assorted minis- they are excellent.
Lord Shaper
I spent a ton of time trying to find the right bases to use with them... Normally I'd go with something from Fenris Games but Justin came through with the goods. I might have to greenstuff some more '"pillows" though
