ukrocky
So I'm 90% sure I'm going with Miss. Criid for my next list (Who doesn't love a witch hunting female who is a bit of a pyromaniac...?) Just wondering what you guys think I should get, what I shouldn't get etc. Here's my current thoughts; - Criid boxset (Well, there's uses for all of it...) - Nino - Abuela - Some puppies (Use chaos warhounds till the Wyrd ones come out) - Some Watchers (No idea what to use until the wyrd ones come out...) - Executioner (When maelstrom get him in stock) - Purifying flame - 2 Desperate Mercs (http://www.maelstromgames.co.uk/index.php?act=pro&pre=prp_wmc_mpv_unt_121_000&sou=bas them, until wyrd ones come out) - The judge maybe - Quite tempted by the Guardian to help her ladyship survive a bit...? Not a massive fan of austringers, or governor's proxy, but open to suggestions otherwise! Thankee Edited March 14, 2011 by ukrocky
Gremlin Swarm
Don't forget the Peacekeeper. I know I go off about this model a lot, but I've never been disappointed in its performance, despite its price (both $ and stones). Not too sure about Abuela, but then again, if you want to blast-happy... Come to think of it, I've used a Freikorps Specialist with Criid. Lots of blasty fun. (Just watch out for enemy Freikorps models in groups, since they're blast-proof.)
Mr. Bigglesworth
The list of models give some good options not sure of desperate mercs role in your Sonia crew. Lucius and guards work well with Sonia. Ryle is a beast that can really add to blast effects with his ability to target all models within 3" of original. His speed can really help too. ukrocky
I would like to point out I'm a student and can only afford so much Nah, cheers guys. @Gremlin Swarm - Out of interest, why the peacekeeper in a list over, say, executioner, or nino, or samael etc.? @Biggelsworth - As a former gremlin and collodi player I'm a massive fan of early game, 'worthless' activiations (turns 1-3) and late game it doesnt matter so much, they bring me this ability, as well as one turn (3) of decent shootyness. Mr. Bigglesworth
I haven't found the value of Peacekeeper over Nino or Executioner. It is far faster than them all and has both melee and ranged options. It is a good model but I don't run it because it usually means I have to also cut out one of my 4 ss model too... whether it be a witchling or death marshal. Aarkon
I find I don't like the idea of the Peacebringer personally either just because I find it helps me more in the game to have more boots on the ground as the saying goes. I find if I have say 4 models and my opponent has 6 or 7 I feel I am at a disadvantage.
Mr. Bigglesworth
Being out activated can make it hard to reared a decent firing line that the guild excels at. Also our 3 main foot slogging 4 ss are quite effective and tough models. Peacekeeper is I think the second fastest model the guild has 15" a turn and can still swing once. Perdita being 1st. If I need fast I will take Perdita with enslaved nephlim 2 obeys will make any model fast.
Aarkon
I am a huge fan actually of the Witchling Stalkers for our 4 point'ers. That might be the Crews I am used to in my area.
magicpockets
The peacekeeper is very powerful psychologically. You'll find people focus almost exclusively on it (either trying to kill it or avoid it) which leaves you more freedom with your other models
Aarkon
The peacekeeper is very powerful psychologically. You'll find people focus almost exclusively on it (either trying to kill it or avoid it) which leaves you more freedom with your other models True but if I pull any strategy like Reconnoiter I like having more bodies around. Once you spend the 9 on him and say the 7 on Nino you are left with a Master and two other models tops thats if you don't want any SS's extra in a 25ss game. So that'll give you 5 models and to get full VP's you need at least 4 of those 5 to live. As mentioned it is just my personal play style that I just feel more bodies has helped me more often then less.
Gremlin Swarm
Magicpockets listed one of the reasons I like the Peacekeeper--it draws fire. It's also tough enough to take it for a bit, leaving your other models free to do whatever. It's also, as Mr. Bigglesworth pointed out, fast. If your opponent leaves it alone, it can go for objectives. On the flip side, I often play low model count forces (in several games), so I'm used to fielding a small number of big bruisers. If your play style (or the set of objectives you're going for) depends more on having lots of models, the big bad bruiser bot may not be for you. I saw Guild Guards mentioned above, too. They're worth looking at. (That on damage with their regular gun is nasty.) I recently fielded a swarm of Hounds with a Guardian for a Criid crew. It worked fairly well. BTW: If you do go with some Hounds, I'd take at least 3 for a 25ss game, unless you're planning to use them just for harassment/attack. (That ability to lose Insignificant while in packs is nice.) Soundwave
Since noone else seem to have mentioned him, I'm gonna raise my glass for 'ole Samael. Sonnia does blasty nasty stuff to everyone, killing the weak and weakening the strong, and Samael just blows the strong things to bits. His damage output is insane once he gets going. I've also invested in a Freikorps Specialist, since he feels so...right, for Sonnia. Fire's fun.

Ya my son is painting up his Freikorps crew now I really am tempted to steal the specialist though lol.
Dark Alleycat
the Hesitation is a wonderful thing and seriously underappreciated. And best of all he has it even without the Flammenwerfer. Though you want to be careful of models that can Obey, they will turn him into a knife fighter in just one activation lol.
Doctor Amos
Flammenwerfing fer the flammenwin. Also, underrated is the Freikarmour. It is fire-proof, which makes it great fun to throw these guys into the middle of the maestrom.
Wulfen
Nobody mention the trusty Convict Gunslinger yet? There's a lot more options now, but my main crew was typically Sonnia, Samael, 3xStalkers, Executioner(or Nino) and Convict Gunslinger, or some mix of the above. Aarkon
I love the Convict Gunslinger, he is the only mercanary I currently own for my Guild. He does toen to be more the the same of what you already get in other guild models though, but I love having him my crews, haven't tried him in with Sonnia yet but I can see how it would be nice.
