magicpockets Posted July 27, 2010 Report Share Posted July 27, 2010 First let me start by saying I think Malifaux is awesome, this post is hopefully constructive and is not intended in any other way. My "problem" is with the rules. I understand the need for changes and clarification, my concern as a long time lurker is the number of people making statements about rules which are nothing more than their own interpretation of vague areas and have no basis in what's been written or errata'd. This could cause all sorts of problems down the line. Would it be possible for someone official to post a list of who the "rules marshals" are? Also, perhaps a sticky could be added to the rules clarifications thread that asks all statements about rules from "non rules marshals" to be backed up with references? Lastly, when an issue is resolved would it be possible to make it official somehow - perhaps making an official post in it, locking the thread or moving it to an "errata'd" section of the forum? Otherwise there's a real risk that the rules could get skewed and confused by people with good intentions but no real right to make those decisions. I hope everyone can see the good intentions behind this post, and if it's not deemed necessary I'm happy to keep on muddling through.
