Why doesn't Ramos's electrical screen affect himself? Seems really redundant to help all his buddies and not himself.

Are you looking for a rules reason, or a flavor reason?

It could be that he cares more about his creations than he does himself. It could be to "encourage" you to run constructs with him, and not just use it as a caster buff.

It could be to prevent imbalances in gameplay.

I never thought about it with Ramos, but Nicodem's Bolster Undead does the same thing, helps his buddies but not himself.

But your totem is your friend! ;-) Cast with him and you can be affected by it.

You know I never thought of the fact it doesn't affect him, though as you say if you can cast it through the totem it would, though it's a bit hard to pull off.

And completely off-topic, first game with Ramos and played against Nicodem. How come bolster undead is so much better than arcing screen.

Punching bolstered undeads doesnt make you kill yourself...

"embrace death" allows him to be affected by spells and abilities that affect undead.
