  1. They're looking pretty nice, I look forward to having them used against me in the future with your tricky crew.
  2. I can indeed agree that this terrain is simply superb after having a game on it (i'm the one barely in the photo, thanks for that) it is really nice. The bridge works well so it does at keeping models up there, and I believe we only had one incident of models slipping down on it. Not that I ever actually got up there.
  3. I've got to admit, liking the really dark tones on the death marshals and the judge. As you've suggested, I'd maybe go for a brighter tone on Lady Justice.
  4. Really like the wall spiders, may have to steal your idea when I get round to doing my individual ones.
  5. The OSL looks good on ramos and I like the colour scheme so I do. The bases are also looking pretty good, did you buy them or make them? Overall a pretty good job all round. The electrical creation looks good, though looks more fire like than actual electricity.
  6. That's a very nice paintjob, and indeed has captured the spirit of the slayer from. Is that a reaper model just out of interest?
  7. I really like the blue, though I must admit I'm not really sure about what looks like almost fluorescent yellow/green, kinda makes him look likes he's got ready to go raving.
  8. That's looking good, and I must admit I like Rasputina in black so I do.
  9. They're really good looking figures, and the bases are very well done. I must admit I really like the sign on the Ortega, it's kinda cool.
  10. That's a pretty impressive beastie so it is, with a very nice colour scheme as well. Must've taken a while what with the base etc. Is he not a bit of a pain to get places though?
  11. Bystanders would be cool so it would. Could maybe do some form of system, a bit like old necromunda where if you shoot someone and miss really bad (like if you flip an ace or black joker) then if there is an innocent bystander within an inch of the line they take the hit.
  12. Well here's the updated Steamborg. Washed over the flesh and then highlighted up it up again wiht a slightly lightened fleshtone. I think it looks a bit better so it does, thanks for all the advice.
  13. I must join the crowd of saying that the freehand on the executioner is very well done, along with the painting on the rest of the crews. Did you make the bases or are they bought?
  14. Thanks for all the comments and advice. I've washed the torso by using the flesh tone I was using and watering it down a lot so that the darker recesses are still shown through but it makes the transition look a lot better (to my amateur opinion). Also done a bit of highlighting by just mixing in some white to the same flesh tone and going over it again but leaving bits of it. I'll varnish it tomorrow and post up pics for people to see the results.
  15. You know I never thought of the fact it doesn't affect him, though as you say if you can cast it through the totem it would, though it's a bit hard to pull off. And completely off-topic, first game with Ramos and played against Nicodem. How come bolster undead is so much better than arcing screen.
  16. There's probably a few guys up here in Sunny Scotland that would be up for it. As for Salute I doubt i'll be making it. Joblessness prohibits such activities unfortunately.
  17. They might work well for overwhelming the enemy through sheer weight of numbers against lesser guys. However when faced with a master or something especially big and bad they're probably gonna need something big and bad of their own like a good character to take them down.
  18. Thanks for the comments. So, i've never really had a go at making up my own washes or anything. I have some more mid-tone flesh, some of the VMC stuff. If I just water that down enough to more of a wash and run that through the recesses, will that improve the situation, or just make it look horrible?
  19. In my blister pack which i got like a couple of days ago, I got a card for the swarm and also for 3 individual spiders. Basically you need to buy the swarm and then just get some of those 30mm bases I believe and do them separately.
  20. I imagine it would work, though really it depends on how picky either yourself or your opponents can be. As stated above that extra 5mm could be the difference between not being able to pull off a spell and actually doing it.
  21. (Please note, there's updated pictures on page 2) Well just finished this figure, though he's yet to be varnished. Thought I'd put him up for the usual comments and criticism. I think the contrasts between the recesses and the highlighted areas on the flesh is a bit too extreme. I'm usually okay at faces, but whole bodies not so much. Anyways here he is, hopefully he's not too bad.
  22. I'm with the I'd wait a few years crowd. As gilbear said if when we get the new expansion print the up to date errata in that, and then once we've got an expansion or so out when they do a major reprint of the book, just update the contents and stuff to the new things. As for right now no. I mean I don't think the games been out a year, I think it's a bit early to start talking about new updated rulebooks.
  23. The colour scheme is pretty cool, and the bases are very good. I must admit I'm not a fan of the glossy steamborg, as due to the green skintone it just looks like it's been dunked in slime on one of these kids shows.
  24. Can I just ask, as frankly I haven't played that many games, and I've never used Ramos before. How is it the arachnids inherit reactivate when they split? Or is this from stoking them beforehand?
  25. Well a small bit of threadomancy here, but I just found this after a brief hiatus from the forums and frankly this sounds amazing. Can't wait to see the model and stats for this thing. Hopefully more steam creation goodness along with this as well.
