TheBugKing Posted October 16, 2009 Report Share Posted October 16, 2009 Well Ramos is a great start. Get the Brass Arachnid as well. Stoking the thing is crazy good. You might also consider Rusty Alyce as she can cast burn out. A bit painful with the 'borg certainly but things that make it go more then once are very good. Beyond that you are going to want a lot of constructs. Gamin and spiders are very good. Another fun thing to do with the 'borg is to take it with Rasputina. December's Touch is excellent as it gives the 'borg armor 3. Pair that with a Gamin or two and the 'borg is now doing 5/6/7 damage. Much more threatening then the 4/5/6 it normally does. TheBugKing Posted October 17, 2009 Report Share Posted October 17, 2009 Marcus is my third favorite of the Arcanists masters because his play style is a bit off of what I like to do. His crews can be extremely fast though. Leap on the Cerebus is insane and the razorspine always has a 18" threat zone on the charge even if it is engaged. (4" move +12" charge +2" CB range. Be careful of the must charge the closest enemy though. That can hang you up.) Marcus is not exactly a chump in close combat himself. Plus he can shunt damage to a beast nearby. A fun one is to target the jackalope. If another beast dies it pops right back into play. Take Silurids with Marcus as well. You want fast fast fast with him. TheBugKing Posted October 17, 2009 Report Share Posted October 17, 2009 Ramos is a summoner and Rasputina is a Direct Damage Master. You will note that all the factions (With the exception of the Outcasts of course) follow this general guideline. There is a summoner focused master or model enhancement master, a melee centric master that is usually faster and a direct damage master. Some factions it's a bit more subtle then in other factions. I have Nicodem, think it's safe to say he's the summoner for The Resurrectionists, looks like I'm into summoning I need a blister or two of the Archanids, so I can make Steam Archanids.
