Skya
The original elfquest series was great, but I wasn't very thrilled with the later stuff. It was brutal, creepy and still, it was full of a love of life. Agreed, although I never got creepy from them. There was a point at which Wendy Pini started working with other artists on story arcs that weren't entirely hers and things got rather scattered for a while. A couple of them were good stories but the art was missing something with out her doing it. And there was some later stuff that she did with others that were quite good, The parts of the Readers Collections Wolfrider and almost all of In All But Blood were collaborations she did that really had the feel of her original stuff. Recently she started doing new stuff on her own again and while I'd say she hasnt quite gotten back in the groove yet I think that's cause she was printing under DC's label and the story arcs were shorter so there wasnt as much screen time for character development as she'd had in the past. I'm really looking forward to seeing what she comes out with next though. Given Wendy working on it with out arbitrary page limitations I expect it to be quite good. vincegamer
Never got creepy? Door? the Elf whose sole existence was to psychically open a door? Other elves essentially enslaved to keeping the mountain floating? Coccooning the dead/soulless elf? Lots of creepy my friend; lots of creepy. Draykin
Im a fan of the Anita Blake comics...but the novels were WAY more explisit...If you can get past the art style the Blood Bowl Killer Contract series picks up right where the books left off. If you dont mind online comics here are some good ones I enjoy...content may not be to the tastes of all readers...Although it deals with real life situations....sort of http://www.sabrina-online.com/index.html http://www.the-whiteboard.com/ The last one is a Paintball comics...originaly drawn on a whiteboard. Another one I realy like is the SLOWEST updated web-comic (it won awards for being just that.) and is completly drawn and painted on the computer. http://www.blastwavecomic.com/index.php?p=comic&nro=
