SteveB
Okay, just about 18 months late but I've finally painted one of the zO figures. This is Horrorhook, one of the Scarecrow Sentinels in the service of the one true Scarecrow. A fairly quick paintjob using mostly GW Foundation Paints. The red coat looks quite bad on the back view but it seemed to photograph badly (it's a little more subtle than it looks). My camera always overcooks reds and I don't seem to be able to get it looking natural. Still, quite pleased as I've barely painted since GD 2005 and had a complete 9 months off due to my illness. Nathan Caroland
Sweet - better than I've ever managed. Nice and smooth and I'm not sure what you are going on about the red, looks good to me. How do you like the foundation paints?
SteveB
Well, I know the red looks better in reality Foundation paints are really good. Go on smooth and very opaque but you can thin them down a huge amount. My only real problem is the limited palette. Only non-foundation paints I used on the fig were Black, Blood Red, metallics and a few inks for basework and staining the metal.
Hinton
It looks really good to me; very smooth colors. And the red looks fine to me as well.
