vincegamer
not keen on the pirate (and for some reason I read it as "private" and was expecting an Alt WWII piece) but I very much like the other one.
thewartoad
Some of Dark Sword's females are nice...but it seems like it's the same ol' theme with them. Cheers!
Skya
Loving the pirate. The fighter's a pretty solid sculpt, but I'm not so into her as a concept.
Wren
I like the face and hair on the fighter a lot. The pirate variant is pretty cool. I like the original of that a lot too, though after seeing Marike and Matt's versions I'm not sure I'd ever attempt painting it!
Coneman
The female fighter is nice and another mini on the wish list, I am not keen on the hair of the pirate.
Wren
You might prefer the look of the original pirate. She has more traditional hair under a kerchief. The pose the arms and sword is also completely different. There are some pics up at http://www.darkswordminiatures.com/.
Malebolgia
Marike Reimer has painted the pirate:
vincegamer
seems to have a problem with the foot placement. The left heel won't touch the ground.
Duende
I like the bandana one better. Both are painted excellently, but the braided-hair one's arm looks stiff and (from the front) seems to be stabbing herself in the foot.
DrEvilmonki
Tha dark skinned one looks like it's arm is broken!
supervike
While both expertly painted and expertly sculpted, they do nothing for me. Too much 'pinup' style poses....They look more like two gals attending a dress up party. Actually...I think the whole line of Dark Sword is this way. EricJ
I agree with you SV, pretty much on everything you just said
demi_morgana
like them a lot - very characterful... sexy
Wren
There is additional Dark Sword news. Gael Goumon has joined the sculpting team and there are five minis of his posted. These are for the more RPG oriented Visions in Fantasy line, rather than based on 2D work by prominent fantasy artists. So some of you objecting to pin-upiness might find them less objectionable, dunno. ;-> The one that is more on the pin-up side, the Amazon, is probably my favourite of the group. She looks like a woman who could do some appropriately Amazonesque crushing. I like the assassin a lot, too. http://www.darkswordminiatures.com/sneakpeeks.html
