Another German company i met the guys from last saturday. I knew this company a bit longer already as i had seen some of their diorama stuff. They have a lot of it. A lot of ceramic (which binds paint to it apparently so it doesn't rub off, looks a bit like resin) (some resin?) and metal bits. Generally the bigger stuff (but in god's own scale).

The company is called thomarillion, as it's been run by well, 3 Thomas' and a lot of their stuff is heavily LoTR's inspired or usable for it.

Their site has an english version as well: http://www.thomarillion.de/index.php?seite=home&unterseite=&modell=&pos=&sprache=gb_&PHPSESSID=4a0fc1f9a5c4ce10df4d2203a25d75ee

Figures:

My favorite of the 3 ents (truely treesized compared to 28mm)

They also had stuff with them from this other German company, which does diorama and terrein stuff like them: http://www.ziterdes.de/

Yeah, that company rocks. I have seriuously doubted about ordering several times, but every time I didn't (why buy terrain if there are so many cool miniatures to own!?). But eventually I will do it. Good stuff and not too expensive on shipping (but then again, they are my 'neighbours' ;)).

And regarding Ziterdes, I own a piece of their their terrain. Although the painting is quite bad, the terrain itself looks good. I own the Weathertop copy which was 28 euros. So the pricing is quite good. A couple of washes and drybrushes really help them and then you have excellent and durable terrain (it is made from that hard yet flexible foam).

To add. Ziterdes seems to be a brand of NOCH which is best known for their terrainbuilding materials for train hobbyists: http://www.noch.de/. It's nice to see them taking an intrest in fantasy too.

At the Thomarillion stand we also saw an dwarf inn with miniatures which will be released some time in the future. It's a complete set and the figures have been made so their are interacting. Dwarfs are a little smaller than the Reaper ones.

Bye, Ming-Hua
