Actually, to be fair, she was on it at the time, but I can't say she did it, though she's quite upset about it. Anyhow, she updated this motorola phone thingey of hers. Asked her to close out her windows that were open and restart, and when she did, whooo .. her private folder which she keeps everything in, kids pictures, work stuff, what have you, is gone. No biggie, probably just deleted the shortcut. Nope. Alrighty, lets dig around. Nope, not there either. Lets do a system restore. Nope, that didn't work either. She did all this while I was at work. I've been looking through it and trying to figure out what if anything I can figure out. Ran spyware detection program and found 118 programs that weren't there before. Ooh joy. Ran virus scan and got nothing. Did a restore and got nothing, though we did get her folders back, but without any of the stuff inside of it. Anyone have any ideas? Something I might not have tried? Software that is good at fixing this stuff or extracting deleted stuff? The wife is going to make my life completely misserable otherwise and that would ... well lets just say that it wouldn't be any fun at all. Help ...
