Purzel
Since the number of pre-assembled models ist increasing, I am probably not the only one having this problem: Many delicate pieces of the pre-assembled models I recieved are bent (Rifles, the plants on the herbalists, e.g.). I was happy for a while to be able to bend them properly after heating the plastic up with hot water, alas, they bend back after a couple of days. Does anyone know a trick to fix the plastic? Some coating perhaps? I am reluctant to start painting them before i have a solution. Thanks and best regards Purzel
Nathan Sells
When you're reshaping the models with hot water, have you tried putting the unbent model in cold water to set the form? I haven't tried it with Wyrd's preassembled models but for other instances of bending issues I've heated the model in boiling water, overbent it a little in the desired direction then set it with ice water. Nudelpullover
I'd second Nathan's suggestion and maybe storing the miniatures in a cool place, after bending them, for maybe a few days. My minatures stayed in the correct position after bending, but i also live in a somewhat cool environment (austria).
Skrytnik
Cut off the old and attach a new one. It's sad that we have to do this, but pre-assembled models are simply terrible in terms of quality. I really like Wyrd miniatures, but I can't say the same about the pre-assembled ones.
