So I start thinking about is it possible to design a keyword has no (or with minimum) humanoid models at all. And here are my ideas. Haunted: It is a keyword of different household items that possessed by spirits. All models in the keyword are floating objects surrounding by ghostly effect. The main mechanism is disappearing and reappearing to surprise the opponent, like a old school horror movie. After an enemy has attacked them, the spirit inside will flee away and leave over the object, and later on it can go back and ambush the enemy. In game-wise the keyword has 2 common Abilities: Quote Broken Object: After this model suffers damage from a or Attack, drop a Scrap Marker in base contact with this model and then bury it. Quote Rehaunt(X): At the start of this model's Activation, if it is buried, unbury it in base contact with a Scrap Marker and remove the Marker. If this model unburied this way, [resolve Y effect]. Both Abilities are not optional, so they could sometime hurt the crew. For instance the opponent can attack the Haunted model to force it burying and remove it from a scoring position. And the keyword has 4 boxes: The Core Box: Cabinet: It is the support title of the master, who mainly focuses on the bury and unbury mechanic of the keyword, but cannot bury itself. Quote Master 40mm 4/7/4/3 12 wounds 4-Dimension Storage: Friendly Haunted models may treat this model as Scrap Marker for their Rehaunt Ability. If this model would be removed this way, it instead suffer 1 irreducible damage. Rune Case: Friendly Haunted models reduce damage they suffer while burying by 1, to a minimum of 0. Arcane Shield +1 Regeneration +1 Crumbling Apart Hard Slam: 5 v Df Defensive Reflexes Throw Junk: 5 v Df My Loyal Servant Useless Trinket Plenty of Wares Surge Swift Action Haunting Omen: Rg 6 | Target a friendly Haunted model. Drop a Scrap Marker into base contact with target, then bury target. Jumping Scare: Target a burying Friendly Haunted model. Target resolve its Rehaunt Ability. Floor Mirror: A toolbox model with drawing and Mimic. Quote Enforcer(Totem) 30mm 4ss 4/4/4/2 4 wounds Broken Object Rehaunt(Flashback): Draw the top card of the Discard Pile. Df() Misdirection Insignificant Twist Reality: 4 v Df/Wp Mimic: 4 v 12 Deja Vu Furnace: The main combat piece. It can drop fair number of Scrap Marker for others to Rehaunt. Quote Henchman 50mm 9ss 6/6/5/3 9 wounds Broken Object Rehaunt(Inflamed): Enemies within 2 gain Burning +2. Walking Forge Df/Wp() Ignite Demise(Flaming +2) Burning Touch: 5 v Df Smolder Blaze Breath of Fire: 6 v Df Scorched Remains Lasting Flames Light it Up Move or Burn Ring of Fire Phonograph The core box minions who mainly support the crew by duplicating the Rehaunt effect. Quote Minion(3) 30mm 6ss 5/6/5/1 6 wounds Broken Object Rehaunt(Dissonance): Enemies within 2 gain Distracted +2. Ghostly Echo: After another friendly Haunted model resolved Rehaunt within 5, this model may resolve the same effect. Manipulative Sharp Wit: 5 v Wp Projected Voice Ruptured Ears A Song of Night and Day The Title Box: Iron Maiden The combat title of the master, who has a min 3 melee and a bury attack, which similar to Grave Goo with a bury upgrade. The buried enemy will be released once this model is buried. Quote Master 40mm 6/5/6/3 10 wounds Broken Object Rehaunt(Bloody Blossom): Enemies within 2 gain Injured +2. Hidden Spike: This model may treat other friendly Haunted models as Scrap Marker for its Rehaunt Ability. If the friendly model would be removed this way, it is buried instead. Maiden Inside: Friendly Haunted models can attack the enemy with Maiden upgrade if they can draw range and LoS to this model. Terrifying(12) Crimson Spike: Rg 0 | 6 v Df | Target suffer 3/5/7 Puncture Execution Bloody Fate Cruelty Deadly Hug: Rg 0 | 6 v Mv v 12 | Target a model with Sz 2 or less. Attach the Maiden Upgrade to target. Tear Off a Bite Grim Feast Bloody Maiden Quote Upgrade: Speical(Maiden) After this Upgrade is attached, bury this model. When an enemy Iron Maiden is killed or buried, unbury this model in base contact with it. Discard this Upgrade after this model is unburied by any reason. At the start of this model's Activation, it must pass a TN 14 Mv duel and unbury in base contact with enemy Iron Maiden, otherwise it gains Injured +1. Friendly models gain the following trigger for Attack against enemy Iron Maiden Bloody Rescue: This model gains Injured +1. Unbury a friendly model with Maiden Upgrade in base contact with this model. Spanish Donkey Dual keyword with Tormented. Mainly focusing on dragging enemy around. Quote Enforcer 50mm 7ss 5/5/6/3 7 wounds Broken Object Rehaunt(Catching Victim): An enemy within 2 gains Staggered. Suffering Rodeo: Before this model moves, it may choose an enemy in base contact. After resolving the move, that enemy must pass a TN 13 Mv duel, or suffers 1 damage and is placed into base contact with this model. Torment Trample Trampling Hooves: 6 v Df Reposition Stagger Bulldoze: 5 v 10 Ride with Me: 6 v 12 Iron Sculpture: Knight Armor The main tank of the keyword, whose main job is to protect other friendly models. Will summons smaller models when killed Quote Enforcer 40mm 10ss 5/5/5/2 7 wounds Broken Object Rehaunt(Shield Guard): Friendly models within 2 gain Shielded +1. Armor +2 Take the hit Demise(Broken Apart): Summon 2 models of Gauntlet and Greave in any combination. Summoned models gain Slow and is buried. Enhanced Fists: 6 v Df Defensive Reflexes Knock Aside Toss: 2 v Sz Preparation Shield Generator: 7 v 12 Focused Cleansing Gauntlet A tarpit models similar to the Clockwork Trap. Quote Minion(2) 30mm 4ss 5/4/4/1 4 wounds Broken Object Rehaunt(Grappling): Place this model into base contact with an enemy within 2. Latch On Clingy Clay Fist: 4 v Df Grab On Stagger Frantic Digging Greave A scheme runner Quote Minion(2) 30mm 4ss 4/4/6/1 4 wounds Broken Object Rehaunt(Running Away): Push this model up to 6", ignore other models and terrains. Unimpeded Nimble Frantic Flailing: 4 v Df Reposition Table Manner: Dining Table Supporting model as a healer. Has a sub-theme of Poison Quote Enforcer 50mm 8ss 5/6/4/3 8 wounds Broken Object Rehaunt(Dining Party): Enemies within 2 gain Poison +2. Food's Up Beer Cogglers Have a Drink: 5 v Wp Infect Lure: 6 v Wp A Small Favor Food for Everyone: 5 v 10 Leaking Fluids Set Up for Dinner: Rg 6 | 6 v 16 | Target a Scrap Marker. Summon a Tableware with Slow in base contact with target, then remove target. Tableware The base combat minions. Good at doing multiple ping damage. Quote Minion(3) 30mm 5ss 6/4/5/0 4 wounds Broken Object Rehaunt(Burnishing Silver): This model gains Focus +1. Rufess Posted May 20, 2022 Author Report Share Posted May 20, 2022 Glad that you like it. As much as I wanted to add the "I'm a Teapot" trigger, I just cannot think of the profile for a teapot. And you guessed it right that my inspiration partly came from Beauty and the Beast (The other part was from my TRPG character who can summon animated object to fight).
