Melee attack through a window

Question

Question about melee attacking through a window. The scenario is.. Model A is inside the ground floor of a building, standing at a window. Model B charges Model A from outside the building, attacking from the outside through the window.

1) I believe the rules say cover provides no bonus in melee, so there would be no modifier there I guess.

2) However, would/should Model B be able to disengage (on their turn) without suffering a disengaging strike, due to the advantage of being inside a building and being able to back away from the window/danger more easily?

It's also pertinent that a window requires rather careful definition under the Malifaux terrain rules. It would need to be a separate terrain segment from the rest of the building with its own Ht etc. Now this might not be a problem locally, but it's something to think about if you are playing someone from another area that might have different expectations.
