[Rule] Trigger

Fictor

Question

Hi all!

A group of friends have a question and I will post it for try to close.

For example Rasputina have an action "December's Curse" with an trigger "Overpower" that says: "After damaging, immediately take this Action again against the same target. This Action may not declare Triggers."

All it's ok in most cases but, what happens when the miniature is dead before the Trigger?

For the sequence we can resolve the Trigger before remove the miniature, this is very important because Rasputina have explosions in her dmg and we can do more dmg to other miniatures with this Trigger.

Thx!

From the rules for Triggers, specifically the timing instruction for "After damaging" triggers:

After damaging: These effects happen after Step 5 and only if the target suffers 1 or more damage from the Action. These effects are resolved before the damaged model is removed if it was killed by the damage.

So she does get to cast it again before the target is removed?

The instructions are "These effects are resolved before the damaged model is removed if it was killed by the damage."

The effect of the trigger is "immediately take this Action again against the same target. This Action may not declare Triggers."

So you the action gets taken again while the other model stands there dead-but-not-yet-removed-from-the-table, and, like it says, the effect gets resolved even you killed the damaged model.

That is delightful with Raspy when shooting at a cluster of models!
