How do Strum the Threads and Hard to Kill interact?

My gut tells me that Hard to Kill is damage reduction; is this the case?

No, HtK is not damage reduction. The only things that reduce damage explicitly say they reduce the damage.

A: No, Hard to Kill is not damage reduction. Attacks and damage which ignore damage reduction would not ignore Hard to Kill.
