Cheating on relent

My defending model relents while 'attacked' by another of my models during an opposed duel. I still draw a card for the attacking model, since the rulebooks tels me to , to check if I make the TN for the attack. The attack is not a type attack so cover does not come into play.

 

To be sure - in case I do not make the TN can I still cheat in order to make it a succesfull attack?

You can cheat even if you don't need a TN. Useful if you want to get specific trigger or something.
