Hateful Darkblack
For things like Reckoning and the like. Izamu can sacrifice himself when killed to get another melee attack. I'm pretty sure the person who killed Izamu still gets VP for it (similar to Karina changing a model to sacrificed, which is in the FAQ/Errata). I can't find the rule to back that up, though. Anyone help me? Can you confirm?
0 Myyrä
It would be quite logical for it to work the same way as Karina, but the rules don't really support that interpretation. I would say that, as long as this isn't addressed in the FAQ, you can't score reckoning points from him. If a model is killed by an Ability, the model with the Ability counts as having made the kill. 0 The Godlyness
Izamu used an ability that sacrifices himself. The enemy crew did not kill or sacrifice Izamu. Karina did not do anything except turn killed into sacrifice. So if an enemy Crew killed something and she turned it into sacrifice. She did not sacrifice anything. The enemy crew did. 0 binkys
Is it possible to get VP for killing Izamu? Yes, if the opponent does not use the ability that sacrifices himself. The opponent may want that corpse marker to drop for something rather than getting in an extra 1 AP action.
0 MasterDisaster
Reckoning states a crew earns VP every turn after the 1st if that crew kills or sacrifices two or more enemy models. Then you have Izamu's ability below... A Warrior's Death: When this model is reduced to 0 Wounds by an enemy Attack, this model may immediately take a (1) :meleeMelee Attack Action against the enemy model. This Attack ignores range and LoS restrictions. After completing this Action, sacrifice this model. As Izamu's controller is using an ability to sacrifice him and not the enemy crew they wouldn't be able to count Izamu as one of their killed / sacrificed models for the purposes of Reckoning. 0 Cunning
You can kill Izamu with anything other than a attack of course and score for it.
