wadesauce
Asylum stone, thalarian stone, guardian stone, etc. Every faction has one, as an upgrade. What are they, fluff wise? Are they featured anywhere? Are they special soul stones?
Bengt
I'm curious if anyone is using them. Leaders usually have a lot interesting personal upgrades.
Omenbringer
They were not mentioned in the first edition as far as I recall and I dont think they are mentioned in the TtB books either. I would assume they are simply enchanted items. Considering they cost a Soul Stones to utilize their effect I would also assume they are definitely not Soul Stones. I also dont recall seeing or reading about them being taken/used very often, probably because as Bengt points out, leaders usually have much better options than a resource intensive, variable result, single duel Df/Wp buff with a limited use ability that requires discard as well. Even at 1 SS it is over costed, especially when considering it requires another SS to use the Df/Wp buff for the single duel.
Kadeton
I assumed the upgrade meant that whatever stones your Master spent on raising Df were Asylum Stones (or whatever variant). But yeah, the upgrades are terrible for everyone except Lady Justice. If they were changed to give their bonus in addition to counting as a stone spent on Df, they'd be great.
