laceinit
Had our first paid entry for this event, think this may be a popular one so more than likely I will be extending the spaces available.
MariFaux
I assume this is not going to be ranked?
laceinit
I assume this is not going to be ranked? I dont think so Maria, its just a fun get together of Malifaux players over Halloween.
Tapdancer
Assuming we get the numbers would prefer if it was scored. The +5 sole stone thing may need to be discussed on the day. Will be dressing up like an iddiot just to cover all bases.
MariFaux
Ranked also usually increases attendance. I'll also dress up (mainly because I like dressing up), but I'd probably waive 5 stones if I play against someone incognito. Could you still send it to the rankings even if it isn't scored? (Rankings website: "You can also add your unranked events in so players can track them as well without them contributing to the rankings position. Again you can just send us your spreadsheet")
Tapdancer
As per Maria's comments happy to forgo the 5stone advantage..unless it's Greg and his trappers...
M_Ruckuss
May see if I can get a pass for this as its not too far. Will wait to see what sign up is like- ranking it will defo attract more players in the next 3 weeks...!
laceinit
If the scores will add to the rankings season then sure but I thought it just missed the date. All scores will be sent to rankings anyway.
laceinit
All the Malifaux events are ranked but I thought the ranking season was up, all the scores will be sent out.
MariFaux
Brilliant. November 30 is the deadline for the Masters 2015 rankings (I think), so well in time, and there's also the 12 month rolling window.
OldManMyke
Rankings runs 365, but there is a master qualification window that closes at the end of November (basically so we can send out the invites etc.) The system is set up so that events can be ranked for masters, ranked or unranked (keeps events in folks records)
MariFaux
Awesome. Let's hope a nice number of players will come.. May see if I can get a pass for this as its not too far. Will wait to see what sign up is like- ranking it will defo attract more players in the next 3 weeks...! So, will we see you - dressed up as Baby Kade? PanzerHarris
Was there an agreement on how big the games were going to be? Sure I saw somewhere this was to be 50SS for all. That or I need to buy a white sheet to out over my head...
Tapdancer
it has been discussed informally that those in costume would forgo the 5stone advantage (except in the case of Greg) however on the day local player may take a different view. Best to bring a sheet or night gown( for a very terrifying dreamer) just in case.
MariFaux
Yeah, no official changes to the rules pack (yet). I guess we'll also have to see how many people appear without a silly hat or something that could qualify as costume anyways. (Btw, Greg will be in costume, so don't get your hopes up for an easy game.)
GrengisKhan
Why do I get special treatment? Also why aren't folks turning up in costume. It's all part of the fun! This weekend is all about R&D anyway Greg
PanzerHarris
Fine. I'll don a blue sheet and come as some BluTac. Seems to be a Squig hallmark. ;o) What's the rules on painting by the way? Some of my 'extras' that I want to test aren't finished yet. MariFaux
Rulespack says: Although models do not have to be painted they must be assembled. Also schemes are already determined and in said rulespack (so people like Mark can plan in advance): Round 1 Deployment-Standard Strategy-Turf War Schemes-A line in the sand, Breakthrough, Plant Explosives , Power Ritual, Make them suffer Round 2 Deployment-Flank Strategy-Reconnoiter Schemes-A line in the sand, Assassinate, Take prisoner, Bodyguard, Murder Protege Round 3 Deployment-Corner Strategy-Squatters Rights Schemes-A line in the sand, Plant Evidence, Distract, Deliver a message, Frame for murder
PanzerHarris
That's Bursnell in trouble then. We'll probably get a repeat of the infamous blutac'd Arachnid Swarm that was still on the sprue.
Tapdancer
the way this is shaping up the malifaux circus is really coming to town. Given the location will Jimmy make an appearance...

Don't bother with any eye holes mind.
PanzerHarris
It's OK Dave. Even if I leave eyeholes out I'll still be able to see better than you.
