He was able to take him because of some story that I can't remember. Now if you look at the crew builder he can have him. Is their a story behind that? Fetid Strumpet Posted July 11, 2014 Report Share Posted July 11, 2014 There was no official story the explain it. The reason in 1.5 that it worked is based on the author E.T.A. Hoffman, a German author who wrote a story called "The Sandman" where the Character of Copellius and the Alps were inspired from. There is also a ballet called Coppelia which is based on the same story (Coppelia is a Mechanical Doll the inventor in the story creates). So Coppelius could be hired by Hoffman.
