  1. @Hawkoon thank you for stepping up, you are the man of the hour! I will keep at it with another Year of Tyrant Pledge and having your back if something goes awry! Looking forward to all those amazing pictures 2023 !
  2. Amazing, it's the end of the month, i guess my pledge will work out, but need to finish 6 models this coming days...
  3. okay, little middle of the month reminder: Shockanawe as well as myself will stop hosting the challenge and as it befits such valiant knights of the brush, it would be most kind if someone of you lot could bring up the courage to take over

  5. Hello everybody ! It's the end of the Year! We made it! Important Announcement: As my Chefsupermainhost is leaving the scene, i also decided it's time to scram. No seriously i got other fish to fry and i rather participate for the next year than host. So you all have a month to step up and take over the challenge, it's doable and most of the Work has been done by @Shock & Awe anyway so i am looking forward to nearly everyone volunteering. I'll be cleaning house and tallying Soulsstone counts and so on, i thought about doing a Montage of this years works but i dunno if i have the time right now. Also getting a badge for completing would be nice, but these seem to be reserved for official business. Anyhow, i expect you all will try to do your best to squeeze in some paintjobs next to the Madness that's december. As for Masterclass: Do you manage to get gifts for your hobby from other people? How do you do it? indulge my curiosity As for Pledge, I Pledge ZIPP and Crew and whatever i get done over the Holidays. Have good one everybody!
  6. Haha! Tournaments were the correct motivation booster! With this done, only 3 to go ! although i think i won't make the start of the year goal unless i break my knee and stay at home all year. I made better Photos so you can see where left out details have a good time everyone
  7. Yep GJ @Shock & Awe, so i will join you saying it was a pleasure, it is always really great to see all the pictures of everyone and be part of the process organizing this. I would like to pass on the torch as well because i am swamped in hobby related work. If nobody steps up i will emergency do this until somebody does step up or i just decide that i do not. If we do it with two people i would continue being host as well. have a great November I need to get some Minis in for next tournament
  8. Yeah, i have the optimizing photography Setup point on my to-do, but i hardly get anything done right now but tournament practice and minimal amount of painting. I don't have a neutral background and the Black one i have looks too much like the cloth it is unless you really lower iso and shutter Time way down. I'll try but right now i am a bit afloat on the mass of stuff that needs taken care of. Nice Killjoy always loved that model
  9. So this is my fast forward Contribution for this month,as i wanted those guys for a tournament. Spending more times on Playing and Videos than painting but might change after November hopefulliest
  10. That looks awesome ! Also Huge congratulations on slaying the Pile in the most heroic fashion!
  11. Judging from your previous works i am very optimistic. Sounds like fun doing all that stuff. Don't you get impatient?
  12. Yes, it's completely fine. It would be a bit dumb if you couldn't invest time to paint something to a high standard and partake in this challenge at the same time. But we expect you to make us proud. So no pressure

  14. Hello Folks! BIg sorry for the late post, but i am quite overworked and have run into too much no regarding my hobby lately so I slouched. Anyhow: We are nearing the end of the year ! So it's the last ditch effort Regarding Masterclass: I want to now if there are any products like some specific glue or medium or varnish that has made your hobby-life easier since you discovered it, just post your favourite. Dont forget to fill in the Forms guys, have an awesome Octobre! Hagen
  15. Haha! Made it. Was close though Kinda happy with the results. Onwards!
  16. try kimera coulours, i think it's perfect for that, just get a good clean white for mixing https://www.pk-pro.de/KIMERA-Colors-Magenta-30mL_1
  17. thats so good. I wanted to do that on mine but i rejected it as too time intense (i am lazy that way)
  18. So regarding this month masterclass topic: What to do when you lack motivation to paint, although these are my personal thoughts Do low key work, like building or priming or do bases, so you have progress even if you don't paint stuff, sometimes it's nice to feel good about small achievements Keep your paint stuff accessible, like on a fixed space and, if that doesn't work with your place of living, put it somewhere on a movable tray or else, so you have the least possible resistance to actually sit down and paint I try to have several models available for painting, so i can maybe just switch if i don't fancy the one or the other at that moment Realistic time estimates are also kinda great, if you have 90% of the weekend into looking after your kids or going out or working and your part time goal is painting 2 keywords until sunday, well duh. Try to make appointments with people to paint or failing that, with yourself. No excuse Situation: Just sit down with your stuff and start, i feel that after that stuff takes care of itself. 1 Hour is often great to get something done, maybe two. 10 hours per day is not realistic Don't get stressed by instagram or stuff, those people often are professionals. Being a professional artist can be it's own hell, so i wouldn't envy them too much And i think most important: It's your hobby and your fun and your refuge. If you get too stressed by stuff (like handing in Photographs for the Monthly Painting Challenge),screw that and take a break, if you don't make it one year there is a next year and you will always be welcome back whatsoever. This might sound cheesy but if you turn your hobby into a chore, you can't expect to feel love towards it So now i said that, i made an appointment with myself on saturday to finish two models for the Pledge luckily my unmotivated former self had them built and primed by his next day version. Have a good one, i love the pictures here
  19. I think it's okay to do it, question is why not put it on your master if you are playing maxine2 instead of on calypso. Otherwise its fine you can put out 4 attacks to pressure cheating and reconfigure is indeed kind of nice to lead your opponent astray. However, there is stuff running around that can blow up calypso in one go and your rebuild calypso doesnt get the upgrade, so i would in those cases refrain from putting more eggs into that basket
  20. haven't touched a paintbrush this month yet, guess i'll have to face the music now. Bit frustrated because i still haven't got any of even the july releases
  21. Hi, i will paint Explorers titles if and when thewy become available, or start Frontier if they do not. Motivation is so/so, always getting blocked before finishing bigger projects so have fun in Septembre, and try to remember the Soulstone Reporting Form
  22. Haha i was thinking about entering with the same mini, i reserved for when i would have time to work on OSL. Well it will keep, congrats on the awesome work
