  1. Yes i played 2 in every list with old Lucius as well. I tried cavatica (and was not that much impressed) and Doppelgänger (which I use regularly and which is a good Model to do stuff away from the midst of the battle) and was quite satisfied with Lucius, Scribe, Agent and Doppelgängerin. Tbh i think the free action is way more important than the jump. And the melee attack as well. 
    yes jumping seems to be „whoooop“ but I used it 1-2x only each Battle. It sure feels a bit wasted to keep them on flanks or in the back but using them at the best Moment to score is epic.

  2. Dear Wyrdos and Vagrants,

    I have played the first scenario thrice (to get others to form a campaign) and ws wondering:

    1. Is there more background story in the other chapters? Haints background or character background? Like when a Haints breakes you get to know more of his former life or a flashback of your characters life?

    2. will there be something like the breachside broadcast for Vagrantsong, telling us more stories?

    3. Does anyone have good ideas for soundtracks/music adding more atmosphere while playing (spotify playlist, melodice, youtube w.s.e....)?

     

    next to these questions I want to point out, I realy love the atmosphere of the game. I just wish there would be more in depth story to this story-driven-boss-battler. more RPG flair ore something like that...

     

    If there is not is wyrd planing to add that?

    or are there people interested in creating something like that ourselfes?

    As the pool is kind of difficult for Lucius 2, I would rather consider Widow Weaver (and dolls) if you chose to do Research Mission (and summoning). But taking WW always tells your opponent „hey, look at me… I am trying to get research mission…“

  4. 1. I would be cautious to go forward into melee. You could also play more denial and ranged (more like a scalpel) 
    2. new changelings, lawyers and alan reid offer some good WP duels. Alan (conversation) and scribe (betrayal) could be a Good combo to welcome Enemy Models with low WP 

    3. with Doppelgängerin and Lucius as well as lawyers you can score catch and release by luring an enemy henchman to your minions and not expose it by running forward. 
    4. new changelings are fast and can do a flanking Job. Esp against low WP  

    5. hina, serena or rider would probably be solid versatile options. 
     

    well i guess i would look towards Vendetta and catch and go that way building a crew.

    Ah ok. That simply is not my way of playing Lucius 1. I did that at the beginning but now I play without ook. That may be the reason why i feel worried about this change. 
     

    and I totaly see the use of new changelings in Lucius 2. I think they are way better than the old ones. My worries and my disapointment are directed towards Lucius 1 (which is my favourite Master of all)

     

    but maybe I should stop trying to make a weak keyword work by force.

    Oh but the lawyers don’t draw cards most of the time. And now theres no shifting AP around the crew to draw cards anymore 😭. I will surely be missing just like you a lot in future games. 
    i really do hope the „active“ function will somehow make up for that cause tbh Lucius wasnt rocking turnaments all over the world afaik and I still don’t know what to do with cavatica and Hans which get more important since changelings can only hop 12“ to mimic and not elite.

    Well yes the nerfed Dreamer is way weaker. That can’t be denied. I still think he is playable and not „nerfed to death“. Despite the fact that nightmare still is a strong keyword and the Dreamer still is a summoner I like to reframe my pov. Like: If I bring LD and Dreamer 1… what I want to do is to get as many weak cards out each Turn and have them in my discard pile next turn. Therefor the deck does get more consistancy even though it is not as strong as pre nerf. 
     

    but tbh dreamer insomniac ist much more fun to play imho 

  8. basicly WW is a Henchwoman and can use SS to get the needed mask to summon. Beyond that WW is faster and more synergetic due to her web markers. vasilisa is way tougher, has a good heal for constructs (of wich Z has little next to vasilisa herself) and can make a minion take an action (which can be a free action as well)... so it depends on your list. but with emi, mate and sillurids far off the board, you hardly get milleage from that i think

  9. @Morgan Vening Tbh thats rarely an issue for me. If the rattler gets an Upgrade at all i very rarely missed an Option to discard it.

    BUT since its a chimera Model I also think it deserved adaptive Evolution.

    I wonder what will Happen to the rattler since with the Release of Alpha and the Eagles Marcus will get 2 faster, cheaper and more flexibel Models. Ok Rattlers still can drop 2 schememarkers a turn but so can cerberi… i Wonder if i will Play RR at all then.

    Thought about these two:

    i think Iggy should be changed in combination with carver. They do combo with each other in theory but don’t perform well enough for their cost imho. Some change to make both get a pandora feeling. To me they miss that. 
     

    the rattler is all right as it is but gets outshined by cerberus in Marcus and its the old Story of leap being too strong. I would love to see rattler drop to 6ss each. For 7 I allways use Cerberus instead.

    I agree that these two are mostly seen ook. But are they too strong  in general or just too easy to abuse outside their keywords? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Maybe it helps to increase the cost of ook models by +2 instead of +1…???

  12. I guess it may be possible that cavaticas „called out“ may be nerfed to: 

    take a non ️ Action. Or to non Master only. Havent tried to exploit it but this Action can do A Bit of nasty stuff:

    -allowing Lucius 1 to use hidden sniper

    - klaus can use his ️Action again 

    - Lure the target with Doppelgänger or Lucius 2 into Engagement and kill it next activation. In case of Lucius 2 „down the wrong path“ it is quite possible That Lucius moves the Target into cavaticas Engagement Range so je can Hit it and draw a Card as well  

    - use the melee of Lucius or agent 46 


    i played cavatica yesterday for the First time and i like him

    I got that. Therefor: the barbed tounge of grootslang goes against MV and hands out Slow… as well as the mentioned trigger. Staggered and Slow is quite some nice Handicap for your Opponent to Deal with. In my experience.

    emissary is an interesting  Model in zoraida and titania since I Play 2xWaldgeist in nearly every Game with both… nice synergies. 
     

    Rider i rarely use. I don’t like it that much and it seems to be „Not my kind of gameplay“… 

    I use serena bowman against armor and incoporeal Heavy Crews.
     

    hina is flexible in many Crews and Van be a decent flank Model. 

  15. I Never thought about bultungin as an offensive model. To me they scream „schemer“ but then again 5ss is expansive for a Model with move 6, no Defense tech and Zero other shenanigans to make them decent schemers. 😢 i prefere Waldgeist… especialy since I find the Models to be more beautiful. 
     

    but if you figure out how to use  them… give us a hint. 👍

  16. Er played Break the line on a wedge deployment. 
    schemes were: 

    spread them out, bait n swich, leg them bleed, breakthrough and Research Mission. 
    i took breakthrough and Research Mission. Easy peasy. 
     

    played against bayou zipp and took breakthrough and Research Mission. 
     

     

    teddy was my Last Choice of this List, just because i had 13 ss left and thought I could use some tankyness and muscle. He killed an Iron skeeter and an gator-that my Opponent slightiy overextended. But there could have Been better choices. 🤷🏻‍♀️
