I think I would use Graves to push Tannen more often since he is only walk 4 and Pandora has some movement tricks of her own.

I'm surprised by the Teddy baby Kade choice, while I think its a cool and very thematic choice its 18ss and a lot of set up to get the high damage when I could just higher Nekima for 13ss and please let me know if there is something I'm missing there.

I'm not sure if I'd hire changelings with Pandora but if another model is making them for me, I'll certainly use them.

It’s ok for Tannen just spend his activation for double walk. The “cooler” aura is his main weapon. Also should be noted he applies a condition when using his attack.

Well, no doubts that Nekima is very useful, but.. I don’t have her:P In comparison with Teddy she is more reliable for sure - min 4 damage, melle expert instead of “flurry”, better characteristics. Both have some stuff against Wp, which is good for Pandora. Teddy+Kade costs 5ss more, but they are two murder models = two activations with 8(!) possible attacks. Teddy has flurry and inbuilt trigger with ability to push the target. Baby has “pounce” to react on those pushes. Yeah it’s hard to do that combo in practice, but sounds nasty, isn’t it? And they have solid placing-pushing synergy as @HydroMog mentioned.

Changelings are really good minions for just 4ss and the opportunity to summon them is an amazing! I had some greedy doubts before purchasing Emissary and these creepy boyz, but now I am really happy with them. Some experienced forum members inspired me with their suggestions in “Dreamer tactica” thread:)

Running an Adze and scoring Claimjump with it and the emissary without spending ap seems fun.

Oh mate! You generate so freaking genius ideas!!

Does it mean that if Emissary copies Tannen’s aura and enemy toches two of these auras, he will need to discard two cards before cheating?

@le_sphinx Mr. Tannen could replace an insidious madness how often do you run him with Mr. Graves?

For this mysterious emissary what action are you normally copying? same question for the changelings and I assume the changelings are used to provoke more WP scheme run and jut tie up other models?

Yeah I really like Mr. Graves as well! Usually he pushes Pandora turn 1 and try to secure area with his "little" stick after. He is my choice when there are not too many killy schemes. In other case (if there will be a lot of murder) I take Teddy. Sometimes even Teddy+Baby Kade. So everything depends on schemes. Mr. Tannen has a nice synergy with Graves and they look cool together in one crew. Another thing is that Mr. Graves can be a big "fire magnet". Sometimes opponents try to do their best in destroying him. IMO, that's not too bad. If opponent tries hard to hit him, the rest of your crew won't suffer these hits.

Madness/es can be used in supporting Pandora with its/their aura and condition applying. However, I think their stronger side is scheme run, because of really respectable Wk and "incorporeal".

I think Teapot listed the best copying opportunities for Emissary. I can only add Tannen's "cooler" aura here.

Changelings are good for schemes and they can add more flexibility to your crew.

So I was wondering what other models should I be looking at to round out this crew? I have Nekima. Barbaros and Lilitu are on order. I know the first suggestion is doppelganger and widow weaver but what else?

I'm hesitant about widow weaver, I feel she is a HUGE target and not that survivable

Personally I suggest to take Iggy (mentioned him earlier), Mr. Tannen (has a cast against Wp and fantastic aura where opponent has to discard a card before cheating) and maybe Mysterious Emissary (has a great Pandora conflux, can summon Chalengings, puts big dangerous terrain marker, etc.).

All of models that you listed (including Doppleganger and Weaver) have a strong synergy with Pandora for sure. Widow needs some careful management, but just imagine a power of decreasing enemy's Wp ("web" markers) when your crew throws a lot of Wp duels:)

Also everyone is talking about the summons build for her and it sounds AWESOME! what are some models people would suggest for that crew? Any tips for running it? does and don't, scheme to take or avoid at all costs

Couple posts earlier was mentioned that she is quite independent here. So you can take 1-2 models that can apply conditions and support her. For example, Iggy and Madness. Another part of crew can be focused on particular schemes and strategy.

In my noob opinion, "woe is me" Pandora can be good in all gg17 strategies for now. Before her weakness was a quaters control, but know she can summon Sorrows and kill the enemy with them (or at least tarpit the enemy).

"Marked for death" is fantastic scheme here, because it helps to apply unremovable condition. So you can summon 2-3 Sorrows from just one model wth "MfD" condition and kill it after.

Everything where you need to "kill! maim! burn!" is a good option to pick. Other schemes can depend on your and opponent crew.

Thanks a lot and don't tell the Arcanists I was here I'm kind of cheating on them with Neverborn right now:P

Only if you won't cheat on us with Arcanist:P:lol:

This is exactly what I experienced in the woe is me games. The sorrow summoning plays like an avalanche. You wanna kills small things to get the engine going and as soon as the poltergeist is out it just grows and grows and if the opponent doesnt kill all the sorrows, it just eats their crew.

Btw the poltergeist can copy pandoras casts at ca4 and that is pretty decent with his (-)aura for wp duels.

One game I had a spare red joker and summoned a sorrow with the poltergeist cause he copied the summoning action at -3ca.

Yeah! Really nice notice about Poltergeist!

Pandora can work almost independently from the rest of crew. She can do two things in one time by her own: summon and massacre! I just accompany her with Iggy for some protection via "martyr", another "incite" and sweet burning. As @I'm a Teapot! mentioned, opponent has two main ways to go. The first is to ignore summoned Sorrows, but they will oblitirate everything if he doesn't. The second is to try to kill them. However, he will just spend his activations on killing summoned models! Also, it is not easy for all crews to kill Sorrows, even despite their low Df and wound count. Thanks to "incorporeal" and "martyr" from Iggy and sometimes Pandy.

I mentioned in previous post that I lost Pandora in one game. I was really surprised, but it didn't help opponent at all! He spent the second turn to do it and next turns he tried to do smth with Iggy, summoned Sorrows and Polergeist. Which means that at the same time around 40 SS of my crew were able to do everything that they want.

Also I didn't say that I was able to destroy Tara one day. I think Pandora is a real counter in games against that lady. Thanks to "mood swing" condition.

Pandora's "woe is me" build should be in top tier for sure. Creating new models and kill enemy at the same time.

However, what we should be afraid of? Same problems as usual? Blasts, Df duels, pulses? Which masters are serious counter to us?

  5. 2 hours ago, Le gob said:

How do you kill them turn 1 ? I still unfamiliar with Pandora's game mechanics.

    Let me guess, please :)

Emissary can copy “missery” aura by his Pandora conflix. Now we have 5 “missery” auras, 5 damage for opponent if he lose wp duel!! Also he gets “incite”, which is tough cast against wp.

Probably Pandora had “depression” upgrade which gives all woes in her LoS a cast against wp. Sorrows can use it.

Pandora has “incite” which is (0) action against wp and it can be used twice thanks to trigger. Another actions she can spend are her melee cast (against wp) or my favorite “inflict” (pulse which force enemy models to pass wp duel).

Just imagine how many wp duels can produce 5 mentioned models! Only one failed duel can inflict 5 damage! Another thing here is Poltergeist, which is summoned when somebody dies from “missery”. He has short aura where enemy has negatives on wp duels!

Oh man Pandora is a weapon of mass destruction!

Last two weeks I played her versus Collodi, Reva, Colett with “woe is me” upgrade. In game against puppets she managed to kill two marionettes, Vasilisa and Collodi left only one wound. It was in the second turn. Resurrects lost two carine remnants, night terror and croligan in one turn either. In the third game I lost Pandora, but before she summoned two sorrows and Poltergeist. Even despite of my fatal error, opponent was smashed. So in my example all killed units are small, but anyway it’s just amazing to kill so many opponents activations in one turn! Of course in all these games was a set up of 2 sorrows and Poltergeist, which were summoned earlier.

My little brother said that he won’t play with me if I take Pandora against him:(

    Some suggestions are here...

Thanks a lot mate, but I know that thread for some reason. Maybe because I posted some suggestions there as well?

I asked directly @I'm a Teapot! at this thread, because he posted his inspiring mini-mini battle report here. So I would like to know which particular models he used at that game against Arcanists.

Pandora can kill fast aswel. I recently played a game with woe is me pandora against a kaeris crew with joss in it.

Which models do you used to apply conditions to enemy models at this game?

I guess Pandora can do it by her own using "incite". However, it is good to use another (0) action from "depression" upgarde to give masks on all her casts.

Guys what about right suit at "incite's" trigger? I mean it is double masks on my card, but book says it should be mask+tome! Which is the latest and correct info?

  8. Poltergeist can be easily summoned by killing someone by "misery". This is a really nice passive summoning option of "woe is me". I think it is better to spend 5 ss for something else.

In my opinion the core of your list is Pandora, Barbaros (his challenge pulse should work well here), Iggy and one reporter. Other modelss can be left or swapped depending on schemes.

If there are many killy schemes, two duets can be cosidered as well: Teddy+Kade and The Tooth+Rougarou. Both are hitting Df, but also have nice options of various Wp duels. Insidious Madnesses are fast and good scheme runners. Also they can make harder to cheat Wp duels for opponent and apply conditions (mentioned before).

Doppel., Tannen and Lilitu are strong options either. I really like Lilitu's range. It works well for applying some scheme conditons such as "marked for death".

  9. 13 minutes ago, Mutter said:

    Yes, they do.

    Sweet!

Other model for condition applying can be Insidious Madness with it "I can hear them".

Also Poltergeist can give slow with his attack or paranormal marker. Primordial Magic can give "insignificant".

Anything else would lend itself well to that kind of Pandora list?

Mr. Tannen. This was mentioned in recent thread "Tannen uses". Also his aura can work very well with Pandora.

What about conditions from schemes such as "marked for death", "accused", etc.? Do they work?

  11. 5 hours ago, Treehouse said:

Just hope your opponent didn't use Corpse Candles to deny LyM, since they are Peons.

He didn't:) His list was something like 4 bats, 4 dead dogs, 2 necropunks, Bete Noire and Reva with upgrades of course. So the opponent just kept his bats in his deployment for a couple of turns and tarpired my Coppelius and Madness with his dogs.

    5 hours ago, Treehouse said:

The Bultungin seems very good woth him. I was a fan of Bloodwretches, but they could be even better.

Oh yeah! Could be a really nice combo!

I really like twins! Yesterday both of them scored 2 vp from Marked for Death scheme. Lilitu is really sweet at applying "marked" condition because of her 4" range. Lelu is better in killing marked models. Everything is even better when they have shared fast from Dreamer. Also his pushes with free (1) MI action were really helpful to put twins on a position.

    Why not?

Thanks a lot! I used your approach at the 2d round. Opponent took brutal Reva (she is real nightmare!) and a lot of cheap minions. When I paralized the Reva, everything became much better:) Despite my strange list (Pandora with voices, depression, a. connection, Candy with FgF, Coppelius with on dreaming wings, Graves with t. faces, Doppelganger, Sorrow (sucker) and Madness), the result was a draw 4-4. Unfortunatelly my second scheme was Leave your Mark, which I didn't score at all. I should pick Inspection or at least Hunting Party. I guess HP should be a must against Resurrectionists. The opponent is the strongest player in our community.

At the 1st round I desided to go through MfD and FfM (Teddy). Lilith was a master of opposinfg player crew. This time I am happy with my Dreamer's actions. I summoned only twins and managed to give them fast and pushes. Also great job was done by Coppelius. He tarpited a huge part of opponent's crew and paralised some models due his trigger on MI action. Teddy (sucker) managed 3 attacks with :+fate against Lilith and left her only with 2 wounds. After that opponent was ultra accurate with her and she didn't do anything significant. It was my first time of using Mr. Tannen. Well, I was little bit confused, because any good mask cards didn't visit my hand for three turns! However, this guy applied very well his "cooler" aura at the last turn of the game. Opponent's hand was totally wasted! His "bored" condition is nice either. So Mr. Tannen has a really good potential, if managed correctly. I won the game 7-2.

Last round was against Guild. Pandora with her box was my master. After couple of turns, opponent desided to withdraw:(

So I took the second place and really happy with that^_^

  13. This Sunday will be a tournament in our local club and I really need some master jedi suggestions with picking up schemes and crews for them!

As I mentioned before my main master is Dreamer. So the reason why I am asking here. Also I have Pandora and Lynch. Expected opponents are Guild (Lady J, Perdita), Ressurectionists (All sorts of them), Outcasts (Sisters, Gamelin, Tara), Neverborn (Titania, Lilith, Lucius). As for my models will be easier to say which of them I don't own:)There are no in my pool: Emissary with Chagellings (not yet^_^), Nekima, Tots, Barbaros, Waldgeist, Gupps, other swampfiends.

Round 1. Standard deployment. Strategy: Interference. Schemes: Claim Jump, Frame for Murder, Dig their Graves, Mark for Death, Last Stand.

Obvious pick here is summoning Dreamer. It is the most doubtful round for me, because this style for dreamer usually gives too many opportunities. It is quite hard to make right decision and realize all potential of the boy.

Initially I thought to pick FfM and MfD schemes. Teddy worked well as a solid sucker before. The second scheme could be achieved by summoning both twins. Lilitu's range works well for giving MfD condition to enemy models. Especially with fast conditon from the kid. However, by going this way it could be easy to present a couple of points to opponent by killing his sucker. Now I am thinking about advanced peaceful technique - try not kill any enemy models and to pick Claim Jump instead of MfD. But I am not sure how to realize this plan properly, cause there are not many tarpit models. Also it won't be hard to opponent to position himself close to the center line and deny CJ scheme. When I picked CJ before, I wasn't successful with it. Maybe the way is to bury opponent in many cheap or fast models? On the other hand this will give another drawback. A big chance that opponent will pick some killy scheme and I will give him a lot of material for that.

The "peaceful" list could be: Dreamer (Dreams of Pain; Otherwordly or Tantrum?), Daydream x3, Coppelius, Doppleganger, Mr. Tannen, Stitched Together, Insidious Madness, 7 soulstones.

The "murder" list could be the same, but Teddy can swap both madness and stitched.

The sucker can be Coppelius/Tannen/Teddy. Which one is better for this role? Dreamer can try to summon both twins at the first turn, cause they can heal each other quite fast. My favorite Lilitu can lure enemy close to the center in order to deny the strategy and control the board by her range again. For the next turns the boy can summon more madnesses or stitcheds and mostly use his support abilities. Another option (if CJ is my choice) is to summon madnesses from the begining, cause they are really fast, incorporeal and really good for scheme running. I think I will need maximum of them. Maybe to summon just Lilitu and one madness for the first turn.

Coppelius should mostly distract opponent. Summoning Alps would be really nice to tarpit enemy. Doppleganger will give more flexibility and also scheme running. Tannen will help with summon and try to dusturb opponent by his other auras.

Round 2. Standard deployment. Strategy: Guard the Stash. Schemes: Claim Jump, Frame for Murder, Leave your Mark, Hunting Party, Inspection.

I am thinking between taking Dreamer or Pandora. My schemes could be FrM (Teddy) and maybe Hunting Party (depends on opponent). To be honest I don't have many ideas for this round, but here is more confidence for sure. I need to keep in mind that opponent can pick Hunting Party as well. So a lot of minions is not a good option.

Round 3. Standard deployment. Strategy: Extraction. Schemes: Claim Jump, Eliminate the Leadership, Leave your Mark, Covert Breakthrough, Inspection.

I guess this one is the easiest choice. Box Pandora can go here. However, EtL can be a treat for her. Also melee cricket bat Dreamer with "Sleep Cycles" can be solid pick either. EtL and Covert Breakthrough could be my schemes. Which one is better CB or Leave your Mark?

    Thanks in advance!

  14. Another way to go could be Serena Bowman from wave 5.

Especially "warped reality" upgrade that's allowed to take only if Serena is a part of our crew. The upgrade gives "from the shadows" rule to attached model. So you can deploy this model at 6" away from enemy deployment zone.

Also this upgrade is rare 3. So you can have max 3 of them and deploy up to 3 Teddies really close to the enemy.

Serena is really good model by her own. She has a chance to heal and remove one condition from friendly model. We have a lack of this in our faction. She can give "black blood" to Teddies, which is nice. Teddies will get a lot of hits for sure, so "black blood" can hurt someone in response. Also she is.. immortal:)

One drawback for now is that official model isn't released yet.

  15. Guys has anyone tried lelu+lilitu+tooth combo with Dreamer?

Lelu uses his (0) action and gives pounce to himself and his sister. On our next activation we go with Tooth and use his (0) action with both attacks on target enemy model, which should be in range of twins after push to the knight. Theoretically, there could be three attacks from Tooth with eight:huh: pounce attacks from twins! Also Lilitu can give :+fate to herself and brother by her (1) action.

The Tooth is a minion, so Dreamer can use his buffs on the knight. Another thing is that Dreamer can summon both twins.

Would like to try this combo on practice one day. Is it real overkill?:)

  16. Has enyone tried the second new Lynch upgrade? What do you guys think about it?

I did it last Saturday against game versus Nikodem. The ability to summon depleted is really nice, but you have to discard two cards for that. If you don't have aces on your hand or it's Lynch's activation right now, it could be a high price for that. Anyway it's ok. IMO the main issue here is that almost all other Lynch's upgrades are quite usefull.

  17. The decision about purchasing Mysterious Emissary is brain problem for me now! I am trying to control myself in buying new models, cause there are some of them that didn't see gaming table yet. Also it almost compulsury to get changellings with our emissary - another purchase! So I need to be sure that Mysterious Emissary is a pretty strong and useful addition to my "warband".

I have Dreamer as my main master, Pandora, Lynch with almost all models that these masters need. Do all of these masters can use NB emissary really successful? I am sure that emissary shines in Pandora lists. However, I don't know how he synergises with other two masters. Sorry for being little bit off topic!

Maybe it is better to take just Johan for conditions removal and be ready for gg18?:)

On auras thats false as auras are not effected by height. if you are within range from a top down 2D perspective and can see the model with the aura they are effected by it. Auras are all about LOS and range, not ht

Seriosly? That could be really nice, but rulebook says: "An aura has the same Ht as the model it comes from, unless specified otherwise." (page 58)

Maybe that is old rulebook version? I will be happy, if auras have "unlimited" height^_^
