It depends on the skin tone that you are looking for, but red/violet colours are a great option. I'm using druchi violet (GW) or Crimson Carroburg (GW) for the shades. I attach a couple of examples about the result. Moreover, yellow or orange are better color options for highligths instead of white.

Overall, major props to Lucas. I think it was a combination of Skill, list building, and surprises. In talking to him he felt he caught a lot of people off guard (which is odd given nationals but even Varney admitted he didnt know how zipp worked) with things they havent seen. 

My impression (being the one who claimed doom and gloom), we will have to see how the year plans out. I think Lucas is dropping gremlins for Neverborn. GG18 is fresh enough and it seems like the surprises were enough (along with good play). Not sure it will work all year, but we will see. Can't say ill be sad if proven wrong

 

The firs is congratulations for the winner. Now I have some considerations, points of view and questions.

I miss on the first list a skeeter with sommer. The probability of Black Joker is 1/54, but you know... bad things happen. For this reason I like bring the skeeter in the list for at least in turn 1 summon 3 bayou gremlin. They also could give Rams in more advanced turns.

He probably used Old major as Francois' taxi, for the same cost of ss I preffer Gracie but Old Major could be a nice option with Sommer's synergy of discard cards.

The second list is good and I think that he gave fast all the turns with a bayou near to the student conflict and pushing her with trixie, but in the last one I don't exactly know how to move the student of the conflict and to give with Zipp fast, due to saddle is only for gremlin models. 

Could you clarify this last point?

I will play a Henchman Hardcore tournament on this month.

What do you think about a list of Ryle + Francisco + the judge + a guild hound and you have a ss to spend in upgrades.

For me, peacekeeper is quite expensive.

Austringer, I have played against them several times, nevertherless they haven't been the same after the Nerf.

Seems like you have enough to get going, you might hav some activation deficiency but people keep telling me that will matter less in gg18. I son't really agree so either reporters, hounds or guardsmen would be my top pick for schemers and cheap activations.

I think that cheap activations are always great on the game, I'm considering about buy 4 guardsmen now that they're 3ss each of them. Reporters and guild hounds I have read that they are good as scheme runners. I don't like Nellie aesthetic/play but the reporters are nice option and I coud buy one of them.

As for what kind of lists you should be playing with those masters, I would probably build all the lists around Francisco, Abuela, Nino core, especially if there is a lot of interacting in the schemes. They can be played with all three of your masters, in my experience. With Sonnia and Perdita I would then add Brutal Effigy and Papa Loco. With Justice I would probably reach for Recruiter and Lone Marshal (whose cost was just dropped in the errata).

Thank you for the explanation about how to build the list. The problem with Nellie crew is that I don't like her so much... I agree with the requeriment of cheap activations. Guardmen and hounds will be the next models.

What do you think about the Brutal Emissary? I have read in some post that he's a good option.

If you can talk someone into splitting the starter box with you, the Orderly’s are nice to have on hand and you get Grimwell & Heartsbane that can be fun.

 

Currently Allison Dade is my go to girl with a Thalarin Queller and well worth looking into after you have got the lay of the land with your current set of models.

 

As I said in the previous comments, Nellie's box is not for me. I know that she is probably the best guild master, nevertheless the aesthetic/game play, meh.

The same for the guild starter box models, the first time that I saw them. I considered that they could be more resser than guild.

Allison Dade could have now a lot of work with all the guardsmen that will be on the table. :-P

Hi wyrdos. 

After 4 years playing gremlins, I have decided to start with a new faction. I bought some different guild models because I liked them, and now is the moment to start using them. The crews which, I have in my own are: perdita, lady J and Sonnia. Some of my other models are:

- abuela.

-executtioner

-marshal recruiter

-bruttal effigy

- lone marshal

- witchling handler

 What other models do you suggest me to start with? Who are the mates for these three ladies? I know that Francisco always is a must.

Zipp and fingers playing un Bubble style are fun. Zipp can't interact but he can throw some models in the Bubble. I haven't tried Big brain yet, but removing the gathered Intel condition un enemy models has to be fun.

This art is great and I love it, but I agree with Da about the render should be removed.

Keep calm guys. @Furio and @NoMoreMrNiceKai were the Big guys for that. We are testing how it works and spanish henchmen have to discuss different tips about how to manage; names, nicks and these different stuffs. The idea is start with it in 2018.

Could be nice to see these guys range 2 (at least when they remove a marker +1rg and +1 damage) and give'em a shove as a 0 action (you need a 9). Neverthless, they continue being funniest gremlin models on this wave.

I have been looking at some different Game report during the GG18 and I think that it's not only difficult for gremlin,it's also difficult for some other factions. Mostly of the game end with 6-8 VP and only few of them have 10 VP.

I consider that use the pigapult with the stuffed piglet is not the best use for it. I prefer use it on Ulix crew to throw piglets on your enemies to engage them, remove scheme markers with corn husks (it doesn't matter if they are paralyzed), scheme runners reactivating them with the hog whisperer and If after that, you have enough piglets on game, you can shoot with them. The same in a summoner Sommer's crew and the BBB.

Yes, sure. We always says that gremlins were greater before than now and we are on the first place tiene with resser in the global camping. I think that we have great models for the GG18. We have been crying about the new upgrades but Ophelia upgrades are solid and she has a new mechanic playstyle.

Ulixwith no slow pigs (welcome).

Wong both upgrades can be useful (lazarus, Wong and Sammy with sparkly ligths hace yo be very fun). 

Mah now is playable.

I have played against the dread pirate zipp and it's anoying.

Sommer ok, but he doesn't need much more than nos.

Zoraida is not gremlin.

About brewmaster I can't Talk so much.

But in relationship with the new Gg18, pigapult p.e. the pigaplult I think that can be very useful un some games, repositioning models.

I think that it's too early to determinante if our faction is going to be worse than in the GG17.

First thought:

Right now the player selection uses the UK rankings. Would it be possible to set up different country rankings as "default ranking" for the player search?

During event registration what does "Time" stand for? Its not really clear.

I also think getting probably the worst upgrades on average sucked because I feel like a few factions got upgrades that are huge buffs to what were already some of the strongest masters for them (Outcasts literally got the best upgrades on their best masters Hamlin, Viks, and Tara). I feel like none of our upgrades were game changers and tbh I think Somers upgrades were insulting. At least other great master in other factions got something interesting to play with sometimes....somer got nothing close to worthwhile. (The one that makes skeeters could of at least have said the trigger is to ml attacks so maybe Sammy could do something with it.)

Also the cross faction masters all got upgrades that are better in the non Gremlins faction which again is frustrating. (What's worse is that the same thing happened in book 4 when Zoraida got her "buff" model and it was Neverborn and we need to pay freaking 2ss for the ability to access a 3ss model......wtf.)

I'm not sure if the upgrades thing happened because we have Sammy so they didn't want obnoxious crap to occur but..... it feels bad. 

In terms of playability I think nerfing the stuffed piglet in July hurt us way too hard. It gave our non summoning masters even less options for crew selection because now our expensive fragile models are a bigger liability and outside somer/Ulix we have no consistent summoning so we fall behind on activations pretty quick. (we are Gremlins we are supposed to have masses of cheap shit)

It just feels pretty bad that like 25% of the good models book 2 gave us were crapped on, we got a bad book 3 & a pretty bad book 5. I also hate seeing errata in other factions keeping the models playable while we get our models totally butchered. (Mech Rider arguably got a buff to his trigger and got a minor tn increase to his summoning last time around....)

The way I see it every faction got way more than us in book 5 and somehow people keep calling for nerfs to Burt & McTavish. Which if it happened would be totally demoralizing as a Gremlins player (since they are the weakest in our own faction vs the other factions that hire them as mercs because things like debt to the guild or easy access to fast/copy abilities runs rampant elsewhere). 

I think wyrd needs to take a look at what they made because the difference between upgrade & new model power levels was way to much between factions. They gave Hamlin and Sandeep two awesome upgrades (one as an upgrade/ model (midnight stalker) and one as a model kandara). They are in the top 3 masters in the game and shouldn't be getting massive buffs made for them. Especially when you look at the load of trash Somer and Gremlins in general got...

 

I completly agree with you. Some nerf should be review. They could remove the ram trigger in rooster Riders. Restrict stuffed piglet to only hire 3 of them and If you want hire more you need include the taxidermista...

Yes, you can do it but be careful when you try to cut them, they are sometimes more breakable than the gray plastic models.
