  1. Sorry we will not have space, we do already have 2 local players ready to step in if anyone doesn't turn up. On the up side we have just secured a venue that will allow us to cater for at least 20 players. This will probably take us a couple of months to prep for as we do not have enough scenery for that many tables just at the moment.
  2. Sorry we are now full, yea it sucks that we cannot fit any more players in the shop but we are working with what we have got. Parking is FREE, there is plenty of parking on the street and the market car park across the street is also FREE. If you have any problems head to the Dinnington bus station as the market car park is in front of it. Any problems navigating your way in feel free to phone us on the shop number (01909) 560273. On the list for playing on Sunday we have…. Xane Wargamesandsuch Andais brian291 Samuhell 13th Warrior Twistedrich PositronMike Mr Janje SirPerryBerry We do have a couple of people on standby is any of the above drop out.
  3. Looks like we are full to the brim, I will post a little later with parking info etc.
  4. I think the guidelines from 2011 are fine and the only thing I would maybe consider adding would be a minimum amount of places available for ranked events. For example we only have room for 10 players at our shop and have at least 16 active Malifaux players in our gaming group. So to my thinking our events would not qualify for being ranked due to our gaming group tending to take all the available spots (yes we are looking at possible venues for holding a larger event). The events are listed as open to all but our primary push is to keep our gaming group active and keeping their interest alive in the hobby. On the topic of Banning Players, I assume this comes from concerns of stopping high ranking individuals entering so to improve those lower down to improve their standing. I could only suggest that any ban should be done in writing well in advance of the event with all the details of why the person is being disallowed to participate. Then if the individual feels it is unfair or a unwarranted ban they need someone they can address the issue with (preferably a 3rd party), in this way a paper trail of sorts is created so if a TO is regularly disallowing ranked players from entering their Open Ranked Events said 3rd party should be able to pick up on it and take according action. Though I seriously doubt the rubbish I have just written about Banning Players would ever need to be put in place (and who is going to be stupid enough to volunteer for sorting out squabbling over small plastic models). Maybe people just take this all a lot more seriously than I do, but anyway sorry for this tuning into a wall of text (it was not intended).
  5. Are we having a set deployment for each round or are we generating these?
  6. Look forward to seeing what crazy stuff these critters can do.
  7. So signed up and ready to rumble this evening we have: Supermint Samuhell Andais Wildcard626 Badgroth GingersHaveNoSouls amber leaf Impact UK pjs Xane We have 2 people left to confirm (darn having to work for a living LoL).
  8. It is nice to see our local Malifaux community grow at Impact Wargaming and over the school holidays is an ideal time to drop in for a demo game (or a regular game if you are versed in the art of cheating fate).
  9. Thanks for the invitation I will be attending, declaring Guild.
  10. Nice, this may push me to do another faction (curse you Wyrd).
  11. Many thanks to all those that took part in our Henchman Hardcore Tournament today, it was a blast.
  12. I like the idea of this one and look forward to trying it out, roll on Ripples of Fate.
  13. Sorry I did not notice this earlier, but you are more than welcome to drop down as we currently have a growing Malifaux community building up. You can phone the shop on (01909) 560273 or just look for Impact Wargaming on Facebook and you should find our page with little trouble.
  14. I seriously considered this but I cannot make the starting time.
  15. It is a pity the Outpost one is so close to ours as some of us would have probably dropped down for their HH.
  16. You are more than welcome, our gaming group have only been playing Malifaux for about 5 months or so.
  17. Cool will see you when you make it down.
  18. Sorry we are full for this small event, I am however looking into a bigger venue for the future.
  19. Well the shop address says Sheffield even though we are rather near Rotherham and Worksop also. But we are well out of the way from the cool guys and girls over at Outpost.
  20. Well I will give you a shout next time I am heading over and see if we can get a game in.
  21. Yea that is a bit of a treck and not worth the travel for this one. What side of London are you as my wife has family in that neck of the woods and maybe worth dropping in on your club next time we are in the area.
  22. Unfortunately we only have room to setup 5 tables in the shop, but this first event is mostly to help build up Soul stones for the next events prizes. Hence why the entire fee is so cheap as we do not need to hire a venue, just have to cover the cost of out Henchmen shipping for they Wyrd goodies. Though if we get loads of interest for the next event we have a local venue with loads of space just down the road we can hire. As for the VP thing, yes we are sick little puppy's and thought it would be really funny to set it up so it is entirely possible to lose all 3 games and still win. This is probably more a reflection on our gaming groups warped sense of humour. Though a more traditional approach to determining the winner would be in place for future events. Anyway feel free to contact Pjs or myself directly for further information.
