*SOLD OUT* @fanteegi and myself will be hosting the Malifaux English GT at the London GT! This will be a six-round event over two days following the rules in the Gaining Grounds document to be released this year. It will be 50 Soulstone games, Fixed Faction, Singles variant. Strategy and Schemes are announced below! The English GT is open to all players of any experience level and we'd love to see new and old faces alike. There is a bar in the venue, free parking and a campsite that offers very affordable accommodation directly adjacent to the venue. We had a great time there last year and it would be good to go back and really start to carve out some table space! Do we have a rules pack? Specifically, what are the proxy rules going to be for alternate titles, please?

As a community, I don't think we've ever done "powergamer events" - there will definitely be a handful of players that really want to win, and are well capable of it - most of us just go to have a bit of fun, socialise and flip some cards. I'd recommend grabbing a ticket if you can: even if you are drawn against one of the best players, you'll soon find your level.

Luke and I will be there - set-up should be fine as it's only a handful of tables, but happy to give you game!

My rule, as per the tournament pack, are that once the finalised rules are freely available to all - ie. on the official app - they are legal choices with suitable proxies. So basically.... no, I can't say for certain.

I've been informed by the LGT organisers today that they are looking to close ticket sales this Sunday (5th September). If you've been putting off buying a ticket until now, you have five days...

With new Master Titles being released, it's worth noting that as long as these rules are available on the Wyrd M3E app before Saturday 25th Sep, they will be legal picks for this event.

I don't know about you, but I can't wait to get back around a table... As COVID restrictions start to be lifted, I think it's time to be brave and make plans again: how about a two day tournament in September? Perfect for a fun weekend of gaming and preparation for the UK Nationals! The London Grand Tournament is expecting to go ahead with the latest new date, 24th to 26th September, and I want Malifaux to be a part of it. It's our chance to share this amazing Malifaux community at the UK's biggest cross-system gaming event. I will be running a five round, two day event on the Saturday and Sunday: plenty of time for casual play and socialising on the Friday; the full weekend of gaming I'm sure we've all missed; early finish on the Sunday. World events have understandably taken their toll on the previous two attempts to organise the event during 2020, but please let me assure you: in the event of another postponement due to COVID-19 virus, tickets will be transferred or refunded. Please take the chance and book your tickets as soon as possible so we can start reserving as much space as possible. As this tournament is part of a larger event, I have made some adjustments to the usual way I run things - please read the tournament pack carefully which can be found here. Some highlights are below: The LGT will be a five round event over two days. On registration, players will commit to a single faction they will be playing for the entire event. Strategy and schemes are revealed below and taken from the Gaining Grounds 2 document. All Adjusted Rules from pg11 of the Gaining Grounds document will be used. Painted models are compulsory [we don't want to be shown up by the 40k players, do we?]. A model is considered painted when it is noticeable that effort has been taken to colour all the parts of the miniature appropriately. Models in coloured plastic are exempt from painting requirements. I will instruct you to remove any unpainted miniatures from the table. Apologies, yes: this year's event has been cancelled. Still looking into whether the dates next year are feasible for me. Due to Corona Virus, LGT has been postponed until 26-27 September: 2 weeks after English GT. I am still able to do this at the later date, but would like to invite thoughts from the community if this is still feasible?

SLOW GROW ROUND 2 - 27 JAN TO 9 FEB RED GAME: "RESERVFAUX DOGS" It was all going so well – your enemy became your friend and combined you were able to pull off the heist of the twentieth century! It was a beautiful ballet of misdirection and cunning genius that even George C Looney would be proud off (George was the individual you met on the train to Malifaux who had been bragging about his infamous crimes). And then that double-crossing son of a Silurid went and… well… double-crossed you. Well now it’s your turn, and you know what they say: “every dog has its dinner…” wait, that’s not right… Deployment: Corner Strategy: Reckoning Schemes: Power Ritual / Take Prisoner / Claim Jump Special Rule: After deployment, each crew starting with the Attacker places a Loot Token on one of their models. If a model with a Loot Token is killed, the active player must transfer the Loot Token to another model within 2”. If no model is within 2” the active player drops a 30mm Loot Marker in base contact with the killed model before it is removed and the Loot Token is discarded. Any model in base contact with a Loot Token may take an Interact action to remove it and gain a Loot Token. At the end of the game, each crew scores a number of additional VP equal to the number of Loot Tokens currently on their models. BLACK GAME: "ARIK POTTEMER AND THE TURF WAR OF FIRE" “Okay, Gang, this is it. This is where we are going to build our Empire. This hallowed ground...” “Err… Boss? Ahead, four dark shapes emerge from an alley - your ambush has failed, now it all comes down to who has the fastest trigger! Deployment: Wedge Strategy: Plant Explosives Schemes: Assassinate / Vendetta Special Rule: VP may be scored on Turn 1 (NB you may still only score 4 VP from the Strat and 2 from each scheme) - yes, this is Henchman Hardcore without the time limit. BLACK GAME: "RAIDERS OF THE CURSED ARK" You found it! Only problem is, you didn't find it first. After weeks of meticulous planning and investigation it all comes down to who can loot those powerful artifacts the quickest... Shut your eyes - don't look at them no matter what happens! Deployment: Flank Strategy: Cursed Idols Schemes: Dig Their Graves / Search The Ruins Special Rule: Idol markers may be used as friendly scheme markers or corpse markers for the purposes of schemes. Each marker may only be used as one or the other and only for one scheme per turn. If a marker would be removed it is not, instead the opponent may place the marker within 3" after VP scoring is complete, if both players would place the same marker at the same time it does not move.

When a Henchman is leader under the CHIMERA Keyword, they gain the "Beastmaster" rule from Marcus' card.
