If I can figure out how to upload images into the forums, I'll post some pics. I'm very new to the forums, and I haven't even thought about posting pics yet. Update: I just started an album in my gallery with a few pics of my minis. The pics aren't the best, since I was going off just t he overhead light in my painting room and using the camera on my tablet, but they will give you an idea of my painting style, such as it is.

I just started last month, and I've been trying to have all my minis painted before they hit the table. Starting a new game is definitely the time to start painting. In the last 5 weeks, I've painted 23 models. That's more painted Malifaux minis than Battletech minis (16 painted since 2010) or Warmachine minis (14 painted since 2006). I'm not sure why, but I love painting these models.

Hello. My name is Joe. I've been mostly lurking for about a month, and I'm finally starting to post here. I live in Columbia, Missouri, and I play at Valhalla's Gate. I've been gaming longer than I care to think about, but I've only been playing (non-collectible) tabletop miniatures games since 2006, when I started playing Warmachine. I've looked at Malifaux before, but only recently decided to take the plunge. I started with Arcanists, since Rasputina's crew box spoke to me louder than the other factions and masters. I played Khador in Warmahordes, so a more or less Russian woman with ice powers leading a group of slow moving heavy hitters was within my comfort zone. I've added Ironsides and Marcus since then, and I'm looking forward to the Kaeris box. I tend to be a very slow and unenthusiastic painter, but in my first 3 weeks since starting the game, I've painted 22 minis. I'm not sure what about these minis captured my interest so much, but I've found painting them quite enjoyable. (Assembling them, on the other hand, would be quite frustrating if they didn't look so freaking good when finished.)

In my opinion, Killjoy's alt should be Miss Begotten.

Interesting.... When I started looking into the game, I first looked at Resurrectionists (because Seamus is cool), then at Neverborn since I liked the look of them overall, but I finally decided to pick up Rasputina as my first master. In the month or so since, I've been very happy with my choice of Arcanists, and I've also picked up Ironsides for a change of pace. I hadn't really considered Guild at all, since I generally stay away from the designated hero factions. I had glanced at McMourning a bit when I was looking at Ressers, but he didn't quite click with me. I might try branching out to him after I've played long enough to get a handle on my first faction, but I'll most likely play him as Resser instead of Guild at first. Thank you, Zinc Lich, for starting this thread. It's been very entertaining and informative.

I am a very new player, having picked up my first crew less than a month ago. I've been lurking on the forums, but this thread convinced me to join the forums. I know which master(s) I've purchased, and I'd like to see if I've made the right decision. So, here goes....
