  1. The wording is better, sure. Adding that clause to Lola............... Personally I think she was too cheap anyway, adding that makes me think that even moreso. My big problem is that stacking it is still way to powerful IMHO. You could drop your basic TN's to tens, and then add up to +3 to them, or you could leave them where they are and just allow the hazy condition to add +1 if someone has it, which would be more in line with other similar abilities, and just let the build up of Haze allow for a late game fast surge (after all, nothing on the haze dissipates says you can only use it once per turn.............)

  3. I gotta admit folks, I am -really- leery of the whole Hazy condition being stackable. Turn 1 Cooper silk scarves Lola 3 times to give her hazy 3 and you all of a sudden have a model with terrifying (ALL) 15 for 10 SS. Even at turn 2 assuming you activate cooper before lola she will be terrifying 14. That does not even take into consideration all the other base TN 12 checks you have baked in........
  4. Actually, what I might argue is the notion that you need LOS blocking terrain everywhere on the board. If that's what you are using all the time, I would say half the board should -also- suffer from half move terrain as well to gum up the works of melee focussed crews. IF you consider range as being unfair, is it not also unfair to allow melee models free reign on the table as well?

  6. Indeed. Frankie is good for this as well, not just because he is a solid henchman, but because if he uses his special charge, it pushes people away. Abuela is also someone I have looked at with rifleman as well.
  7. Riflemen do -not- have to be close to dashel to be effective, they are boosed by being close to dashel, and this is where people fall down. They concentrate to much on the "optimal" rather than the effective. Rifleman can actually spread out to a fairly wide degree if you look at them. Dashel has a 6" bubble of free focus, and riflemen get their bonus if they are 4" from an activated guardsman. This gives them an almost 12" spread to work with, and if someone charges one element of that line up, you can shoot them by just reducing your focus condition by one without costing an AP. Put an annoying pathfinder in front, and giggle when people charge it and you shoot them for 2 damage 3 times. Quite simply, if Zfeind put all his guild guard together in a blob, and you managed to stop them from being effective by getting into engagement range with 2 or more of them, he screwed the pooch, and that's a tactical failure, not a model failure.

  9. PR and LITS, 3 rifleman and Dashel gives you a good kill zone and kill ability and 5 activations for 24 stones. Season to opposition. . . . . . . . Add 1 pathfinder, 2 traps, and 2 stringers. Put the traps up for LITS, a Pathfinder to move and/or summon more traps, and the stringers to make the traps drop schemes. Use dashel and his buds to hold the area you need too based on terrain, and keep the traps in sight of those rifleman to start with.

  14. Probably asked an answered, but anyway. If I Obey or otherwise force a model to walk towards a model that has an appropriate terror rating, does that model have to make a terror check? It's pretty obvious that it would not work in a push, as pushes are not walk actions, but do actions designated as walks trigger the check? Cheers
  15. Yeah, I was looking over the upgrades as well and I saw that (did not think of the performers though as arcanists are not a faction I look at all that much). One think I noticed on Lola is the trigger on projected voice. It seems to be more powerful than even the Netgun I assume it is based off. Even with the :mask requirement, it is not a hard ask when you can blow up a monkey to give that to her natively, so no need to worry about card in hand, or costing a SS.
  16. No probs. Another thought, and this goes with the comment LAMO made, perhaps you could add a side element to Cooper to include use of the poison mechanics. It would go with the hazy drug theme, and Alice -did- do Poison as a song as well (ok, out of WTMN era, but still his)
  17. Correct me if I am wrong (cause I may be.......), but aren't abilities like blow smoke, puff of smoke and I need a partner simple duels?
  18. Well, if I am reading this right, it adds to the TN of simple duels, so that would make them -harder- to pass, but the way it is written, it won't just affect the terror/manip style effects, but your own cast actions as well.
  19. Having a look at this now Am I reading this right in that the haze condition actually -hurts- your crew?
