  1. Nurses are abit iffy atm but the new rules probably make them playable. You still need dogs for them to work properly, and Desperate Mercs are awesome. Autopsys.... They are just bad. If you want to use them, go ahead, but probably only work with objectives as they aren't very resilient. Otherwise, a round good start. Molly is awesome as always, although I'd take something that has a spell she would be awesome copying, like Belles or CrookedMen or Yin. She always does Something, I can guarantee that. And the Avatar. I played my first match with Simulacrum and the Doc and holy Nicodem that was ugly. Afew failed flips and one mismembered rule were the only things that stopped me from destroying everything.
  2. Iron Heel, what really is your problem with these rules? They are different yeah and can't say I like all the new stuff but mostly positive (Lynch is better, yay!).
  3. Why not? If you have the terrain and painted minis... I don't know what the official sentence is but I atleast think it's more important to play where you can than not at all.
  4. Balance. And also the changing of soulstone usage. My face when Victoria hits i. meleewith a grand Combat Total of 42... And yeah,the balancing of minions so that eg. there would be more beside myself would see the usage of Mortimer.
  5. Ashigaru wäshould work wonders w Nico. Toshiro,Toshiro,Toshiro... Tried him yesterday. I cannot for ny life think of any reason why he should Pass ever because there's so much he can do. But hey,to each his/her own. IfNico wouldn't be so dreadfully dependent on CCs,I'd replace Morty w Toshiro because he's a really good melee crew buffer and the mini's awesome.
  6. Then there are the Rezzers. With Nicodem I always take full cache becausevI can cheat Reanimator for more ss models (with Exhume ofcourse). And so that he had a snowvalls chance in hell to survive. The ss-for-cards-rule and removing ss-heal are awesome rules,can't wait till beta to see the rest.
  7. Oh,I so hope that Lynch will be one... On the other hand,the more time to betatest,the more his problems will be fixed (I hope). And I always have Nico... Speaking of ruined plans,I had started plans for an undead theme force but won't build it before I'm sure it would work. So delayed mostly... Hopefully I can make it one day.

  9. I thought, "Ooh, another Rezzer painter. Maybe I can be of some assistance with my experience..." Bah. Nothing. I can't tell you anything. Because Nicodem and his crew are perfect. Just perfect. Best looking Nico crew, or any starter from any game, I've ever seen in my 12 or so years.
  10. This is also the internet and you should be able to write so that others can understand you. Sorry for the attack, nothing personal, but look at your writing. On-topic: vulture96 said it pretty good: two main builds. But they can be mixed. And remember Samurai Punks: cheap beatsticks and if you get them into position to Flurry (eg. via Lure), they do murder. Other than that, Nicodem is the coolest master imo. The model is so beautiful that evena conversion freak like me has huge difficulties meddling with it.
  11. An Evil Baby Orphanage-crew would be awesome. Something I wanted for as long as I have played is a crew with both the original kids (and later Iggy). Otherwise I would've used Zoraida but I hate the mini. On topic: Lynch could use tuning himself. There's small problems in him, especially DMH. His spell-list is more or less unusable.
  12. Lovely to see someone else coverting like there's no tomorrow. When I get my minis ready and online, we can compare. Just kidding, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And these... these are awesome. McM is just so cool... although my sympathies will go to the Hanged. Poor gal, like you said. Bete is awesome.

  15. Thanks thegarbalag. I'm happy for this. And Gorbad does have a point... But we'll see how Malifaux fits in. I just have warm memories of old FB and 40k artillery that were guessing weapons... Ahh,ye olden times. (I know,an unfair and unwanted comparison but was just reminded of the better times when those games were still fun)
  16. Some wargames are better with premeasuring, others not so much, imo. Time will tell which group includes Malifaux. Any news on how upgrade buying to non-peons are affected by WYSIWYG (basically do the upgrades show on the model)? (EDIT: Yey, my 100th post! ^^)

I just realised my biggest problem with the incoming rules: if there comes an option to buy upgrades to various non-peon models, hopefully there won't be any need for WYSIWYG (ie. upgrades can be seen on the models). I have seen magnets in use miniature games (namely warjacks and - beasts in Warmahordes) but this game is not one in which I want to see them.

  19. Blog: On closer inspection, that's pretty much a description of the two first turns of every game I ever played with Nico and Mort. And yeah, it's onesided but works. And yeah, atm you need either Mort or Rafkin to do something with Nico 1st and 2nd turn (well, maybe take a Belle and/or Toshiro and move forward to Decay/Rigour stuff on 1st turn... Have to test.). But yeah, he would need something to dig up MZs because they work with him on so many levels.
  20. I play Lynch and would like to see some boost on him as every model he uses have some sort of flaw that limits its usefulness,except Beckoners.
  21. How do you reckon Rafkin and RN would be made better? O.o They are almost to good as it is. But yeah, ol' Morty... Too cardreliant.
  22. That bonepileidea... Awesome. Similar to Boneswarm from Hordes. And yeah,WP Immunity is abit to much against a crew with Hanged and/or Nico. He needs MZsso a summon to those and/or somthing to reallly boost them
  23. What are you talking about,making Nicodem something else than a zombiemaking machine? He has two perfectly good offensive spells (Decay has its problems,see down) and The Fog. Canines are good cheap corpses with a descent damage output and speed + outactivation. But yeah,some options for Seamus would be good. He's good but the problem is taht everyone else is better. Molly too,needs more options. And Decay... An awesome spell,but the Gunsymbol ruins it. Remove it. Give ANico sonething in resistance. Other than that,comping with above.
  24. If it hits early,it shuts anything down for atleast a turn...? And this is precisely why I would activate Nicodem early,especially if I have a high Crow at hand. The main problem though is that,if I remember correctly,all the essential pieces of Colette's crew can gain Use Soulstones. In my experience that's a big problem to getting Rigour through (I usually Rigour stuff that don't use SS eh.Strongarm or Vanessa). I'd probably take Molly and cast more Rigours or first debuff. But,like CRC said,a good counter to Nico a the Duet to the face.
  25. Heed My Voicen (or Obey for the most) or similar control effects are good. Beckoners + Brilliance are one option. Sales Pitch could work. HD was good, tried to get a Beckoner into range but failed. She was my best option with Lynch Paralyze is also good for models like the Strongarm. Also Ignore Armour. Try to ignore it, if possible (hard because it is fast). If not, tarpit it.
