Sorry could you explain that a little better. Why doesn't the Acolyte suffer a blast and instead suffers a regular damage amount?
I'm looking at the rules for blasts now and don't see this in there. It mentions nothing about the target suffering a regular hit whilst near by models suffer blasts.
The steps I'm seeing are:
Flip for damage total (minor, moderate, severe). Place (or even :blast) if required. Must touch the Target, and mustn't overlap each other if more than one.
[*]apply damage
If a red Joker is flipped apply its version of effect instead.
[*]apply triggers or abilities.
As I read it now, I don't see anything suggesting that the damage isn't a . Looking a Rasputina's "December's Curse" spell, it lists it as 5:blast:blast, so thats 2 blasts with a Damage of 5. If I were to interpret it as Damage of 5 and two blasts that don't affect the target, then people near by would end up taking more damage than the Target, which makes no sense at all.
