  1. Every other game I've ever played, I would have qualified myself as Painter without question. And I still prefer to have things painted before using them. But I play Malifaux so much more than I have ever played other games...
  2. Hi everyone, Sundays are Hobby Days at "The 13th Dimension", 451 Swift St, Albury NSW. Come on in to paint, build, help me slap together some ruins, or even just a friendly game. 10am til whenever everyone can't stand the glue fumes anymore...
  3. Hi guys. Unfortunately Thursday night demos are no longer available at The 13th Dimension, as they will no longer be open past 6 on a Thursday. Feel free to contact me about organising a time if you need anything, but I will be making an effort to create a regular Sunday hobby/games/demo/ALL THE THINGS day.
  4. Wow, one of those (probably Kings and Puppet Wars) has really killed it. I just ordered the colouring book, new Raspy, Viks, Lilith and Tara, and only got hit for $15 in postage. #16071 for the win!
  5. I'd have said Insidious Madness.
  6. So anyone got any ideas for more Miss models? My list so far... Miss Appropriate (Wastrel) Miss Conduct (Joss) Miss Fortune (Mr Tannen) Miss Anthrope (Mr Graves?) Miss Tandsnow (Ice Gamin)
  7. M2E demos now available for Thursday and Sundays.
  8. After a couple months of regular Thursday night games, I'm now adding Sunday games and demos at the 13th Dimension, Swift St Albury. this month featuring regular m2e demos every Sunday from 11am.
  9. There will be avatars in m2e, every master is going to have one now, so the ten thunder masters and the original henchmen will get their own avatars. No idea yet how the avatar rules will be - the last beta test book mentions them but doesn't specifically detail them in the draft released. edit - this info is in the various interviews released by podcast when m2e was first announced.
  10. This conversation has taken a turn somewhere, hasn't it?
  11. Reminder to all - malifaux night is alway on. Feel free to stop by. Now that I'm past the GT, I can start transitioning everyone to m2e. First people to transition: me.
  12. Ah the glory days of the CCG. What ever did I play? MtG, L5R, Wyvern (shocking), Shadowrun, AvP, Battletech, Doomtown Doomtown Doomtown, Star Wars (Decipher - until somewhere around Endor...), Star Trek (also decipher. Ironically indecipherable), WWE Raw Deal, Rage, Young Jedi (terrible), WH40k CCG. I played Star Wars and Doomtown the most I think. But the best games have to be Netrunner (have picked up new edition, just not played it yet), and Babylon 5 - Best 5+ player CCG around. Of course, I layer a Human Babylon 5 Peace deck - suddenly people realised what I was doing and rushed to start a bloody war. Next game I brought the League of Non Aligned Worlds. Much like the real UNIT, I pretty must just screwed up everyone else's plans all day. (Note of caution - a "quick" game of B5 was at least four hours)
  13. Have settled on Thursday as the regular night in Albury for Malifaux games. Sundays remain an option for games and general hobby.
  14. Malifaux Demo / Gaming Day at the 13th Dimension this saturday (May 11th), morning til closing... Hopefully I get Seamus and his zombie ladies painted up in time.
  15. Next demo / painting and hobby day this Sunday:
  16. First demo day was a rousing success. Next time we hope the store's stock of starters will have finally arrived (curse you fickle fates of shipping!).
  17. Malifax Demos at the 13th Dimension, the new FLGS in Albury Wodonga Big demo/games day coming up May 11th. Come and take a look...
  18. Huzzah! With my new Henchy status it's time to start running even more demos and games nights locally.
  19. It's partly to give a miniature a potentially larger surface to glue to the base, rather than clipping down to the feet. It also lets them have the metal tag off the feet which is useful for the metal casting process. Mostly though it's because that's how other companies have been doing it for a long time.
  20. Sort of new to forums. Australian smalltown gamer with a background covering RPG, CCG, Boardgames and of course GW's increasingly expensive options (don't get me started). Bought Malifaux crews a couple of years ago but have only found another local player in the past year - about the same time our FLGS closed. Have mostly been running Ortegas, but also have Collette, Marcus and both options for Gremlins, and have just last weekend acquired Lucas. Also convinced friends of mine to run Rasputina and Sonnia. A new FLGS is about to open so I'm hoping to get regular demos running - just waiting for the ok from the owner to run instore before I go signing up for Henchman (I'm not the best player in town but I'm enthusiastic and have the time).
  21. My brother's acquiring a Rasputina crew and is planning some terrain as a companion, so I'm interested to find out too I don't know anything well enough to help you out, but I reckon those spirals are certainly on the right track.
