  1. hopefully i was in time almost forgot it cause of life
  2. right, thanks all. not really a starting player as i started when metal dreamer came out, but was wondering as it was the 2nd time using them finally
  3. yesterday i played with waldgeists for the 2nd time, and my opponent said he could see through the forest as it doesn't say dense on the type of terrain created. we then played it that way, but now i'm curious as to how and why, as with lylith you can't see through her markers.
  4. ok, thanks. forgot about the tot summoning, but at least i know now fur sure those tots should not be growing
  5. yesterday me and a friend found ourselves with a disagrement (didn't go too much into it as i wasn't the one he was playing). The True Mother states that, while she kills something, the kill can be counted towards another friendly model within 6 inch for grow and mature purposes, yet no one had the upgrade for the growing and maturing process. i claimed he could not use the upgrade for anything, thus Nekima had an unusable upgrade on her, yet him and his opponent played it like she could just grow and mature. my question should be clear by now, but was i right, or did they play it correctly?
  6. I will be entering as well, but do not know if i'll go outcast or neverborn (depends how Hamelin plays after the beta is over and i had a chance to try)
  7. it is not the rat itself inflicting the wound, right? it's a little abuse of rules and all, but still legal (until there is an official rewrite for the hamelin crew, which is coming). also remember to sac the totem when hamelin dies the first time, heaven forbid i always miss that action on the board. plus side is: you still get a rat out of obedient wretch ... next a question from me, if you'll allow a small highjack of this thread: does the card return from the void, opponent cheats a card and i may pick one up, start on turn 1 or 2? my regular opponent and i are still a bit arguing over that one.
  8. and Nix close by never hurts ... you the combo works like this: writhing mass a rat to put a wound on him, then do impetious and attack black blood model, which if you hurt it will give you a wound, thus the rat dies and you get a new rat. then rinse and repeat 'til satisfied or nothing is left.
  9. i have played some games where there were 5 stolen on the table at a time, so i have 6. i also have 15 rats but i never got to that stage yet, then again never played against gremlins yet either so ... the max rats i did use were 9 at once. btw if you ever play against a lilith crew you'll have an easy win (except for slaughter). with only 3 rats in hamelins aura i had an infinite loop thing going until black blood shaman, lilith and a black blood (2) enhanced waldgeist were all dead. just work out the combo of writhing mass and the black blood feedback. these are my 2 Script from my last battle.
  10. i usually start a 35SS game with - hamelin - obedient wretch - nix - 2 catchers - 3 stolen but i will admit i try to play stolen heavy to sacrifice them for understand the stolen + i let one walk off on his/her own (but not too far off) to keep hamelin safe, just in case someone gets lucky and kills all the kiddies *evil grin*. and if they catch up to that plan, at least melee crews have to send a model away as well, thus less heat on hamelin for a while.
  11. yes, you named it correct. also you actually want blight tokens on your rats, if you use the ratcatchers to kill them near enemy models they gain blight tokens themselves. you don't get a cuddle for it, it just plays in your advantage.
  12. aHamelin does heal himself with blight counters from other models, be they friends or otherwise. he also can summon up to 3 rats per turn by throwing fate cards away. he does lose bully and his ability to summon stolen however, so aHamelin plays very differently then master Hamelin.
  13. in my rules (as best as i tried) the crew itself doesn't hand out insignificant anymore, but we can still scratch the insignificant out of it. the rules i wrote up were just my thoughts. the Bully rule i wrote was just to keep a bit of his "normal model" and "rules as they are now" flavour in. i just tried to get "insignificant king" hamelin to a more unique "blight counter" hamelin, as he is the only one that uses it. edit: sorry, didn't read the part about normal hamelin right. yes that would form a problem, but we can rename it for master Hamelin, it's not like it's the same wording on that card as we speak either.
  14. a friend of mine always plays lilith and he used (to start, 35SS is what we play the most in our group) lilith black blood shaman nekima 3 terror tot primordial magic desperate mercenary he used it against my dreamer with fairly good result, tho i admit i play hamelin more then the dreamer for the dreamer there are 2 good lists that i played with, depends if you want to amplify the stitched togethers (insidious nightmares) or you want a teddy or 2, but with the dreamer you really need his daydreams the rest just depends on what you want to play
  15. oh right, sorry i just wanted the Malifaux Rats to stay insignificant, then Hamelin will have a more tactical time. i overlooked the fact that the Catchers were vermin too.
  16. Hello, i read the whole thread and had an idea to keep Hamelin in his own playstyle but get him more in line (maybe). i'll test these out next week wednesday if my friend will let me, but i'll share to get your opinions as well. i changed nothing about the rats, as they are too delicate for me to try to fix at this point. before writing up, i do realise this could become another sort of powerplay in his own right, but it's my first time doing something like this. ------ Hamelin Bully: This model cannot be targeted by Ht1 or Insignificant models, furthermore models who have one or more blight tokens must win a WP -> 14 duel or the action fails. Nihilism: aura 12” friendly models, except for Vermin models, lose insignificant. (1) Lure Malifaux Citizen: (CC: 13 / Rst: - / Rg: -) Summon one The Stolen. This action may be taken only once per turn per crew. Cb (mask mask) Haunting Melody (Pipes): after resolving this Weapon’s Damage Flip, the defender model must win a WP -> this model’s combat total or gain a Blight Counter. (1) Understand The Soulless: (CC: 12 mask / Rst: Wp / Rg: 12) Sacrifice a friendly model within 6”. Target model receives a Blight Counter. Obedient Wretch / The Stolen (all) Abandon: (CC: 10 / Rst: Wp / Rg: 6): Target Model receives a Blight Counter. Nix Nihilism: aura 8” friendly models, except for Vermin models, lose insignificant. Rat Catcher Ruffian: Ht1, Harmless, Pityful, Insignificant and enemy models with one or more Blight Counters must win a WP -> 13 Dual or the Action fails.
