  1. You may spend all your general AP to Pass, but you still have to activate every model. At least you can take comfort in the thought that Von Schill can use a Soulstone to heal as a Slow to Die Action. Other models aren't so lucky :/
  2. You never attach it to any Master. You just hire it and it incidentally prevents you from attaching totems unless you're Neverborn. So as long as you're allowed to hire it you can hire as many as you want. Eg: they're Ht1, so Hamelin could hire all of them if he so wishes, but he can't attach a totem if he does. That also means that you can give any friendly Master that is a legal target to the ability the +AP in Brawls. And if you're playing Neverborn you can still hire/summon totems.
  3. Yes, you can only have one Teddy on your Crew at any point. That doesn't apply if you use the Dreamer, but then you lose on the Obey :/
  4. Nekima. Keeping a big model in position when it's held by one teeny-tiny ankle to its base is no easy feat, even with pinning The Rats, but that's mostly because I'm no fan of having to differentiate similar models myself.
  5. Hello folks, I'm very slowly inching into Arcanists (from a mix of Neverborn and Outcasts, if you're wondering). I'd like your opinion on Ramos' Totem choices, namely: - Brass Arachnid - Mobile Toolkit, - Essence of Power - None, but Arcane Effigy, - None, zip, nada. Which choice would you most commonly make? Naturally it's always situational, but some choices are good more often than not. So, for a player starting up Ramos, which would you recommend first?
  6. I feel like it wouldn't really fit the fluff to have the 10T infiltrate the Outcasts. The Outcasts have little to no connection between themselves, they're not an organisation like the other factions can (to an extent) claim to be. This means that, in order for the 10T to be succesful in getting leverage among the Outacsts, they would need to infiltrate on a per Master basis, which is a lot of resources to commit for relatively low gain. But that's just fluff talking. If Wyrd can think of a good way/reason for that to happen, I'm up for it
  7. Carts, carriages, giant mechanical abominations... Giant mechanical carriage-cart abominations.
  8. You're correct, rats won't generate blood if memebers of their own crew kill them. It's still possible to run a grow list if you kill the Rat-Catchers instead, but that wouldn't be a good idea in term of soulstone cost In short, no more grow list for Hamelin. You can still grab the Tots and drain blood from your enemy though.
  9. Necro-posting is illegal in the Guild subforum and heavily encouraged in the Resurectionist subforum; the rest of us accept it when it fits our schemes. I haven't played with Sue yet, though I hear he's good. To be honest, haviong Johnny Cash on the field is reason enough to use him. Your idea sounds good, but I'd only ever use it in higher SS games, since it seems rather expensive. Also, thanks for bringing the new crews to my attention. Now I'll be able to think up new ways to use and abuse Brilliance
  10. He goes around various shops singing annoyingly catchy, happy tunes, then leaves without buying anything.
  11. Thanks a bunch, draform. If you haven't done so already, can you add this to the pullmyfinger wiki? I'm sure people would find it very useful.
  12. If I remember well, no (+1) ability can be used more than once per activation. As such, Lynch can only discard one card to gain one AP. EDIT: Ninja'd D:
  13. The Specialist model is not referred in the detonate Tanks ability so I belive you can copy it, but won't be able to use it unless you have copied a ranged weapon. If you've copied the Specialist's Flammenwerfer I think you won't be able to copy it again, but if you copy something else you should be fine. In terms of triggers, you can't use them if you don't have them. On the other hand, I think they count as talents, so if you can somehow copy a) the Flammenwerfer Detonate Tanks and c) either or both of the triggers all on the same round (probably thourhg getting Reactivate somehow) I think you can do it. Otherwise, no. Mimicking weapons copies everything about the weapon except the Cb.
  14. Short answer: No, the Tots can't use sprint when holding the treasure without dropping it. Long answer: Moving through any way other than a Walk Action makes you drop the counter. Sprint is not a Walk Action, it is an Action which uses the Wk Stat. The important difference is between the Walk Action and the Wk Stat. Somehwat confusing, I understand Essentially the Walk Action allows you to move your models up to a distance in inches equal to their Wk Stat. Sprint allows you to do somehting similar, but since it makes no reference to a Walk Action (or even simply to a Walk) but instead refers to the Wk Stat, it does not count as a Walk Action and thus you cannot use it when carrying the Treasure without dropping it first.
  15. Kadeton, I agree that in nearly all cases this would be no issue and the result would be fundamentaly the same, but there are some other things that occasionally happen as a result of some Actions from some models, hence if Chompy dies before annoucing an Action these things might not happen (or maybe they might and wouldn't if he had announced the action). There's also the matter of AP, where if Chompy dies without spending AP the Dreamer still technically has 3 AP, which for instance might affect his reaction to Slow. Very minor, but still a possible issue. Mike, good point. I hadn't considered that; I follow your logic and I second your conclusion. Thanks for your help.
  16. Lord Chompy Bits' One Master "When this model is brought into play [...] this model activates immediately." aViktorias' (0) First Strike "This model may immediately make a melee Strike targeting a model after it enters this model's melee range." If I remember correctly, in the case of two immediate events happening simultaneously, the controller of the model currently activating decides who goes first. Assuming LCB is activating, this means he would be able to do stuff without initiating an attack from the aViks. On the other hand First Strike states that the Viks' attack must be completely resolved before resolving any Duels coming from the other model. So... LCB activates without the Viks slashing him in retaliation, but the only thing he can do is Pass, otherwise he eats Masamune before being able to continue? Am I interpretating this right?
  17. Not quite right. A Willpower Duel is still a Duel. That means that if you're just doing a flip against Willpower (as is the case with Terrifying -> XX) that's not a Duel. Unless I'm mistaken. I'm getting rusty D:
  18. Kind of expensive, but a fun idea :3
  19. Well, drat. Might want to edit your first post to warn potential surprise attendees. Looking forward to the event, whenever it may happen.
  20. I might make it. I'm moving back to London the day before and classes are starting the next day, so it's no sure thing, but I'll see what I can do.
  21. Yep, if your target is further than 1" away from the terrain that hides (part of) his base, he doesn't get cover. For charging, your interpretation is correct. Here's to hoping someone comes around with answers to your remaining questions. I suggest repeating them just in case.
  22. Ausplosion is correct. A Slow to Die Action is an Action, not an Activaton.
  23. 1) Your interpretations correct, but both models would receive hard cover. Yes, it's awkward for to shoot above a wall as tall as yourself, which means the Ht 3 model also gets hard cover from bullets likely hitting the wall r missing entirely. Keep in mind, also, that if either model is in the other's melee range, none of them can use a ranged weapon unless they have Gunfighter, since they fulfill both requirements of LoS and melee range. 3) The base. Always the base. 5) Correct on all counts. 6) Unless otherwise stated, effects end during the closing phase. The effects you mentionned end after the model's next activation, so it would carry over. 7) Yep, it's legal. It's actually a good way of doing movement tricks with the Obey spell, and also the avater of the Viktorias would be a bit screwed if it wasn't legal 9) In many cases you'll be engaged with the model that caused you to make a morale duel, and if you fail you fall back directly away. If you're not engaged with the model that caused you to make a morale duel (say because of spell or pulses), you fall back to the closest table edge. So if you walk or charge into melee with a terrifying model, you're engaged - failing the morale duel means falling back directly away. 10) The maximum starting SS Pool Size is immutable - in a Scrap, it'd cap at 8 no matter how many schemes you decline to take. 11) Actually it's discussed on p53. I don't have any example in mind right now, but the paragraph is pretty self-explanatory. I hope someone else can answer the questions I couldn't.
  24. Thanks for your help, everyone. I like the dollies - the makes the face part pretty easy. Pity I know I would suck at creating/painting the clothes XD
