  1. I believe the Neverborn characteristic on Killjoy is for things like Black Blood, which says "non-Neverborn models..." On a side note, where does it say Woe are non-living?

You know what, I'm done. I'll keep my statistical knowledge to myself and for myself. You people obviously don't understand that when you look at the game from a statistical and objective completing stand point, most are equal. I'm obviously dealing with the population that are below average intelligence.

I'm not saying hand size makes it equal, I'm saying knowing the deck makes it equal. Hand size gives you known variable, making it easier to figure out the deck. And besides, unless your schemes and strategies directly involve taking out the model, the abilities don't matter. I think that people are getting hung up on the idea that the only way to win a game is to kill the opponent's models. Playing like that is not fun.

But you're not looking at it from the cards. Cards are not equal, dice are equal. You have 54 cards that slowly diminish in a round. The odds keep changing every time a card is played. You need to know how to work a deck. Take some statistics and probability classes and maybe you'll see what I say is true. But let's agree to diasgree. I look at things from a statistical stand point, you look at it from a competitive stand point.
  5. Using undead would be a poor portrayal of the mythos. With the exception of a few zombies, there are no undead in the mythos. And the few beings that seem like the living dead would not have a decent model to use; ghouls being the exception as you could use Canine Remains. And Seamus wouldn't make for a decent Pickman. The two don't have the same mental unbalances.
  6. My suggestion is Dreamer. Set him up as Randolph Carter. LCB would be a gug. Coppelius would be a Cthulhu spawn. Teddy is a zoog. Night Terrors are Night Gaunts. I'm still trying to figure out the rest.
  7. Welcome! While Neverborn is always a good choice, look at what other people in your area play. If there are a bunch of Neverborn players already, go for Guild and vice versa.

It was the cards, which is what I've been saying. Although I will modify my original statement. Masters with a reduced hand size have a lower chance whereas masters with an increase have a higher chance. So most masters have an equal chance against most masters.

You need to stop looking at what the abilities do and look at the cards. I've seen Leveticus beat Dreamer.

All masters have an equal chance of winning against any other master. You don't gain the advantage by the abilities of the models; it's by knowing the cards. I'm a Pandora player and have beaten her with a straight Nicodem box crew through skill and luck of the cards.
  11. I have found 5-6 Punk Zombies to be an effective force, but everyone's play style is different. And Rogue Necromancy is a good choice.
  12. In my experience, Nic is a good master to learn with if you're familiar with miniature games. Picking up more Mindless Zombies is a good idea, along with a pack of Punk Zombies and Canine Remains.
  13. Sadly, southern Ohio is too far away for me.
  14. I'm brand new to Malifaux and looking for players in the Winchester/Lexington area of Kentucky. Thanks! -Hazrat.
  15. I would play it as only one strike throughout the charge.
  16. I'm in Winchester/Lexington, KY.

    Hello All!

Thanks for the welcome. The background certainly grabbed my attention, but it was the price that was the deciding factor. I always had an interest in miniature gaming, but could never afford it. I've purchased the Pandora and Dreamer box sets and have to say I prefer Pandora.
  18. Hello! I'm LT, and I've just recently gotten into miniatures because of Malifaux.
