Yeah,... the glow effect isn't coming across as well as I hoped. A pattern might be the thing. Whatcha thinkin'? More flower patterns? Or maybe a dragon or something?

This depends largely on the model in question,.. it's size,.. how much detail is in it,.. etc,.. But for an average human-esque model,.. I average about 4 hrs start to finish. But my results are terrible. Many others spend far more time painting, and/or spend lots of time between coats letting things dry completely,.. leading to days/weeks on a single figure. And a lot of it will depend on how many techniques you employ,.. how many layers/shades you are doing, as well as what quality results you want to achieve. What are you looking for? Table top Quality?,.. Showcase Quality??,.. Golden Demon Winner??

Agreed. Her breasts,.. (while ridiculously large),.. are by no means the overall focal point of this when finished. I find that my eye has so many other places to go, that her chest becomes a bit of an after-thought. Or maybe it's just me. And I tried multiple different hair colors,.. black, 20 different shades of brown, even tried pulling the fox orange down into the hair. The blonde is the only thing that didn't look totally out of place. You might think that being such an asian inspired piece that black hair would work well,.. but on the contrary, it just didn't work at all. I mean, if you just stare at the image and picture black hair in your head, you'll see what I mean. And thanks by the way,.. it's nice to be appreciated.

ok,.. who gave Mako shiny buttons to press??? dammit,.. now he's gonna blow up the planet!!!

well,.. it's cool looking. needs a few tweaks though,.. personal icons are too large for the space they are in. it cuts the bottom off of the pics. thanks are gone. and the mouseover on the leftmost icon in the showcase thread reads "popularny" instead of popular. Small things to be sure,.. but give 'em time,.. they'll get it fixed.

but still,.. its better then most stuff that's come out since then.

Thanks, and its good to be back and be painting again. I won't go into too much detail, but lifes been hammering me pretty hard for the last few months. But I'll get this done soon. Besides,.. I'm interested in starting on my next one. Its called "hatchling angel",... and is somewhat nude,... but tasteful. Hopefully people can enjoy without being offended.
