    This week I managed to kill Leveticus on Turn 1 by getting Kirai up and teleporting Izamu in range of his one Hollow Waif. So he was down to one wound and POOF! Turn 1 victory (player sulked and left though )

    This is all well and good but it does rather make her a situational pick for me. Might rather take some Canine Remains for chi/out activation or an Onryo to team up with Yan Lo.

    Izamu pretty much kept me in the game recently with Beatdown against aNicodem. He was killing zombies everywhere and when he died - you guessed it - I brought him right back to kill some more! I drew due to poor chi placement (and not realising the mindless zombies aren't uncontrolled after aNico appears) but dammit I would have lost if not for that behemoth! I LOVE YOU IZAMU!

    Well at least we'll see a Kaeris puppet before an alt sculpt. Or maybe it's a cute slate ridge mauler.

    Of course, the battlegrounds are through the store in the back - although it's massive! The store will of course be open, as well as on Friday before. I'd caution checking that what you want is in stock first though.

    All non-Spirits became Rare 1 when taken by Kirai.

    I'll be playing Kirai and Yan Lo this year, basically because of covering the strats as well as Blog described. I've got Yan Lo to shore up Kirai's defences, until maybe I learn to love him more.

    So Blog, would you take Datsue-Ba much without some stuff to sacrifice? I'm using her in a tournament and finding she's mostly for healing and maybe combat? As a new player I don't know about her capabilities without stuff to sac.

    Also, as someone pointed out to me, make sure the Merc dies first. That way the dog (as a graverobber) gives you a corpse counter for your gaki, who then gives you another when the dog dies. Then you have two gaki, each with a corpse counter for their Slow to Die healing flips.
