  1. I'd be inclined to agree, especially since once Lynch is dead, HD can't summoned if he's not on the table already all other dual masters have ways to either revive the dead half (Viks) or summon the other half upon the death of the first (D/LCB) -edit- curses, ninja'd! Oh well, at least it was Soundwave
  2. Been perusing PMF and the rules updates, and just wanted to make sure I have stuff clear, after the latest (july) updates, the only 2 ways LCB can come out to play are if Dreamer snuffs it, or does the 0 action that specifically summons him, correct? Also, are there any particular shared strategies he's not good at?
  3. Alright, with my freshly updated list (brand new doppelganger, muhahahahaha) How about Shared Slaughter vs Seamus or Colette at 20 ss?
  4. you are, my list tonight was Pandora 2 x Sorrows Insidious Madness 2 x Stiched Together He had Criid Samael Hopkins 2 x Witchling Stalkers Miss Terious
  5. I've got a question for all my fellow NB players, namely how do you make competitive lists without alienating/ticking off your playing group? We're just rebuilding our local community, and I chose NB for our inaugural Steamfitter League, and am running into an issue of players thinking what I use is broken/unfun. (granted the "broken" comment was pre-league and when I used a LaCroix crew, but I can do that in NB and is was more of a companion issue) My problem is that NB as a faction is generally based on screwing with your opponent, but don't know how to do that without upsetting them. Case in point, tonight I did Pandora vs Criid (not the best matchup I grant you, but his other 2 masters were Lady J and Perdita whom I could've cleaned up on). My opponent wound up winning, but said Pandora was one of the reasons he stopped playing in Mk I because with her it was less playing a game, and more "flipping cards to see what I could do". My problem is every NB master has "annoying" tendancies, both Collodi and Lilith can have somewhat nasty companion chains (and Lilith has several other ways to make opponent's pull out their hair) Lady Z is a toolbox of annoyance with up to 4 Obeys a turn with her, a Voodoo Doll, and a Doppelganger and her access to out of faction 4wp minions (Nurses, Papa and Pere chief amongst them in my book) Pandora can kill crews while barely lifting a finger with a little luck, and the Dreamer is well, the Dreamer. So what do I do? Any suggestions are appreciated.
  6. Fez, I own the following Pandora Lilith Lady Z -Voodoo Doll Collodi 4 x Marionettes 3 x Wicked Dolls 2 x Stitched Together Candy Kade Tuco Doppelganger Copellius 3 x Alps the Twins BB Shaman 3 x Sorrows 1 x Insidious Madness Widow Weaver Teddy (borrowed) For Zoraida purposes -Som'er's box set -the LaCroix family I basically like a playstyle that's got some punch to it, but mainly messes with my opponent's head a little, think Dark Eldar from WH40k if that's any help.
  7. updated my available list, might try a couple Stitched w/Pandora and some Sorrows, try to weaken their shooting while wheedling them down w/Wp duels
  8. I've learned a healthy respect for blasts after a Kaeris crew virtually wiped out a 20 ss Collodi crew in one turn, spacing as much as possible will be one of my top priorities
  9. Hoping to play against my friend's Som'er crew on Weds, and the Steamfitter league we're in currently is at 20 ss. Don't know what the scenario is yet, but would like thoughts on the following list Pandora 2 x Stitched Together 2 x Sorrows 1 x Insidious Madness basic plan would be advance the Stiched up front using Inky Blackness with Pandora and linked Sorrows behind, and the Madness behind them. Once I got close enough I'd move the Madness up to help lower the Wp of the goblins and commence operation "make them pay for having Wp 4"
  10. Had my first game against the Ortegas today and ow. Granted, bad draws didn't help me much but I just got lit up. Any tips on how to take them down? I've got the following Zoraida Lilith Pandora Collodi Voodoo Doll Baby Kade Candy Iggy 3 x Sorrows 4 x Marionettes 3 x Wicked Dolls 2 x Stitched Together 1 x Litu 1 x Lilitu Tuco 1 x Black Blood Shaman 1 x Widow Weaver 1 x Teddy Out of faction I have the LaCroix's and Som'er's box set when using Zoraida
  11. Hi y'all, been in Malifaux for awhile, but new to Neverborn and was wondering what clicks really well with Zoraida outside the standard (Collodi/puppets, Slurids, Bad Juju (to a certain degree)etc). I've heard Tuco and Raimi are good choices, aside from them having ranged attacks, which she generally lacks, I'm curious why. Anyway, any and all assistance welcome and thanks
  12. Hi y'all, my local henchman's starting a steamfitter league this week (first 2 weeks 20 stones, scaling up to 25 and 30 the last two respectively) and I would like your thoughts, opinions on the following as a general "jack of all strategies" list Lady Z -voodoo doll (I know she won't start with it, but it'll be on the table turn 1 so same diff) Collodi -3 Marrionettes -1 Stiched together I've got 3 wicked dolls for summoning if necc, and a 4th mannequin if I run into constructs. Alternative models in my collection are -2nd Stiched -4 Bayou Goblins -2 Hog Whisperers -4 Piglets -1 Warpig -Taelor -Bishop -Performer and Mannequin -(if I don't use Collodi) the LaCroix's Opinions welcome as this is my first foray into NB
  13. muhahahahahahaha. Good to know, offed Datsue-Ba anyway, even with reduced damage, but good to know for next time
  14. The Collette shell game is waaay to much fun, helped me pull off a slaughter against a Kirai crew. Of course, Cassandra pulling off severe damage with her (1) spell as part of her regular attack helped. 6 damage to a spirit tends to help killing the buggers.
  15. This might have been answered elsewhere, if so, I apologize, but does Spirit halve damage from Poison markers?
  16. Colette's definitely a tricky one to learn, I've played 3 games so far and am still learning (did manage to get a free mannequin last game though) but I can tell with a little patience she's going to be a blast once I get her down. Especially once her Avatar comes out, muhahahahaha
  17. thanks for the tips all, @Backno, I've also got the Coryphee and Johan, where in the order would you suggest I paint them?
  18. Well, I've gone and stepped in it good and proper, I'm a very rookie painter trying to do a Collette crew, any tips for a simple but nice looking paint job?
  19. great work. How did you do the stage floor bases, plasticard?
  20. Well, going to have my first full game this weekend vs Chev. Alas, my local gaming store is out of Coryphee, so with that limitation, what do y'all think? Colette w/2 doves Cass 3 x performer/mannequin 7 ss pool.
  21. I could be wrong, but can't triggers only be activated once per action (spell, attack, etc) and thus biting chill would only be able to be cast twice (assuming it triggers) per turn?
  22. Oh lord, one word, OUCH!!!!! Must now retreat to my secret volcano lair and cackle maniacally Just rethought my 35 ss list Colette Kaeris Cassandra 3 x Performer/ Mannequin

  24. Thank you oh wonderful wizard, and everyone else, I know I can-can do it (ducks behind the stage as the hail of glasses pursue)
  25. thanks for the help and the info on the duet. Dumb question, but I assume the duets' stats are on the coryphee's card? Also, is there any good way to reliably pull off the mannequin substitution trigger in dissapearing act below brawl (and teaming w/Marcus and his toolbox)?
