  1. I wish i could be there...I'll see what i can do
  2. I wish i could be there...I'll see what i can do
  3. Well that answers my one question. But the rule should then read "an additional unmodified damage flip" Additional damage refers to things like Flay, Critical Strike, and Flaming Bullets.
  4. In the case of Decay doesn't the dual end as soon as the damage is applied? The effect has nothing else to apply. The sentences have been completed in full. Wds are applied after the damage is totalled and "killed" is applied only after that. (assuming killed by Wds being reduced to 0)
  5. Can you say which spell meets these criteria so we can review the specific situation?
  6. Slow to Die would not trigger because the Executioner would already be removed from play. ignore that. I was looking at V1 rules where the zombie replaced the target. As they are now placed, the Executioner would get his Slow to Die attack
  7. While yes, this is an effect. It cannot be removed. Removing the effect would invalidate the models requirement to accurately depict the gun and single sword. The effect of Spellbreaker CANNOT affect the effect of Weapon Selection and thus is ignored.
  8. It is one per duel several models have potentially infinite combos. Its one of the things that makes Raspy so dangerous to high Wd models. This also allows triggers for strikes or casts that don't require ap. Hoffman gives models a trigger for strikes that don't use ap. If it were 1 trigger per ap that ability would be useless.
  9. This is where I was stumbling. On my first few read-throughs I read that line as each sentence being its own effect. However, that line defines Violation of Magic as being a single effect with multiple steps. So this (like many other discussions I've seen on here lately) comes down to understanding what an individual "Effect" is. Is a trigger an individual effect from the effect that triggered it? Situation: Nicodem hits Von Schill with Decay triggering Empty Vessel. Von Schill is reduced to 0 Wd by the spell. 1) Because Empty Vessel is a separate effect, it triggers at the same time as Von Schills Slow to Die but is resolved before Slow to Die is. 2) Because Empty Vessel is part of Decay's effect, it is interrupted allowing Slow to Die to completely resolve before Empty Vessel checks if Von Schill is killed That leads to another question. What is "killed?" Is it an effect?
  10. When hamlin and levi are removed from play, they are also removed from the game. Its not the removal from play that resets them to fresh, but the removal from the game. Thus, when they are "placed," the only way to do that is to place a new model, one that has never before been in the game. A buried model is set aside as is with all effects and statuses intact. That is why they keep their wounds when "placed" back in play.
  11. Going back and reading, both things are in response to the model being killed. Slow to die is a may effect. Violation of magic is a must, and thus takes precedence. They pause the results of being killed (removed from play and game) and resolve in order, first violation of magic, second slow to die. Honestly, when i first got into this discussion, i thought i was wrong. However, the more i read, the more i'm convinced #2 is the correct action.
  12. By the wording of Slow to die, Von Schill was killed. In response to being killed he gained 1 AP to be used imediately. If he was not killed, he did not trigger slow to die.
