  1. The whole "Kiss the bride" part may be kind awkward.
  2. I'm new to the whole laser thing but how are your laser pointers going over stuff or up walls?
  3. That is quite the angry looking log. Nice work though.
  4. Got a little more work done on my to do list. Here's the results: I think I'll leave the card skeleton as is. I'm pretty satisfied with it. Being used as proxy metal gamin. Still have to have some work done on them Neither my wife or myself like the goat man look of the mature nephilim so she wanted to use this instead. I'm not in the mood to begin working on my dreamer model so here's my proxy for the moment. I found this surfer guy on the floor one day at my job and I decided to have him become a proxy drowned model. Here's what he looks like painted up. I couldn't get all of the trim as I was afraid of butchering the rubbery model. And the backside. Here's his base as a W.I.P. I think the water looks pretty cool in this photo And here's the finished result. Sadly the ink used to color the water bled out into the sand a little. All save for the card skeleton and the drowned are works in progress. ---------- Post added at 12:12 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:04 AM ---------- I also worked a bit on my terrain works in progress. Still haven't gotten around to getting some water effects. I really have to do that. For this one I decided to mix some water with some glue and dark green paint. I discovered shortly after snapping this photo that it was far too watery and was bleeding out of tiny holes in the foam. I had to wipe down my work space real quick. For this one I decided to nix the water completely and just go with the dark green and glue. The spots to the right were just where I decided to brush some of the glue off of my brush I'll post the results tomorrow when they finish drying. Well, today I mean.
  5. Good job on the Ashigaru. Why was Yan lo's head missing?
  6. That's pretty cool. Especially the bottom one.
  7. I'll get on that as soon as I get home from work tonight. Does anybody else have any more suggestions?
  8. Here are the models I'm currently working on. I am however having trouble figuring out what colors to finish painting Izamu. Here's a close up if that helps.
  9. I would love to see some sort of Venus flytrap like creature scuttling around and eating corpse counters.
  10. Very nice tutorial. I'm stealing the idea for some of my crews.
  11. Great job. Especially on the ten thunders kage.
  12. Having stepped away from the hobby to deal with real life related things I've decided that it would be a nice time to return to the old addiction for a bit. Here's a Illuminated I stared today. I couldn't get him to stand properly so I decided to have him floating. And here is the back view. I didn't notice that gap in his shoulder until I posted the picture. I'm going to have to fix that. Any suggestions on what kind of base he should be floating over?
  13. They were very nice. Especially raspy and lady J.
  14. So far what I've done is pin lynch to the base so that he's slightly on the lip. Now I should have plenty of space to position the skeleton. Thanks for all of the helpful replies.
  15. Very nice. I tried something similar once but it didn't have Rami. It was fun.
  16. I'm going to try what you did Viruk. The only difference between your model and mine is that I don't have anything filling up the base. Thanks for the idea.
  17. A single small steampunk arachnid should suffice for the legs and lower body. However They will be kinda small. I could see using some greenstuff to make a column-like body and burying the gaki's head into the glob.
  18. From what I understand if you plan to play in a tournament you have to have official malifaux models as base models (as in they can be converted but still have to be the model from wyrd). The only thing I am certain of is that the Gaki equivalent would have to be made of greenstuff. I can't think of any model that is similar in shape to the Leech khan.
  19. I just got my Dark debts box set last night and I'm working on assembling Jakob right now. I'm trying to figure out how to best position Mr. Lynch. The base seems to small to position Jakob and the skeleton well. When I try to get both on the base they seem to either stand atop each other or just plain not fit. I was wondering what others have done to keep the base from seeming too cramped. Thanks.
  20. I would like to help somehow. What have you gotten done so far?
  21. This looks pretty interesting. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.
  22. The nurse with the tray and the syringe looks awesome. Good job.
  23. I already figured that Jacob would be much better with beckoners. However they aren't available as ten thunders models and that's what I want to try running him as. Thanks for the suggestions anyway. Anyway, moving back to the topic at hand. From what I can see yin will be an okay meatshield provided that she can stay out of the range of Black blood. Can anyone think of anything I should be worried about when it comes to playing yin? Edit: Turns out I was mistaken. In my book beckoners are called jezebels. At least I think thats what the jezebels are. As a side note, I still want to stay away from the beckoners for a bit.
