I don't know if there was already a thread about this but there is a weird habit i spotted when watching the Arcanist guys in my lgs play.. If they play Ramos, they pick spiders. If they pick Raspy, they pick december stuff. If they play Marcus, they play only beasts. List goes on. In my opinion, lists like that tend to be weaker than others because they don't use the full potential of the faction. I see myself as beeing infected aswell.. I realised it when i opened Book 3 for the first time. When reading the ressers section i was thinking about the new Minions and how they would affect the ''general'' faction. But when i read the Arcanists section i was like:'' Ahh this will be nice for Marcus'' or ''Hey how usefull this fella would be for Ramos'' I want to get rid of that mindset and i'm sure i'm not the only one experiencing this. Where is this fatal desease comming from and how to get rid of it?

People tend to focus to much on counters when playing Ressers.. i saw people setting up all their shiny counter shenanigans and simply got obilterated next round by a solid meele brick or a gunline. So a simple no from me aswell.

Arcanists, they need those SS or they they couldn't rival the othe factions because they have high cost spells and average dmg values. In their case it fitness the fluff aswell

I'm reading book 3 right now and i have to say that i like it way more than book 2. I think. there were a lot of masters that got little to no "screen time" and i don't like Kirai that much, so reading about her all the time wasn't a thing i wanted to read (that's just my personal preference). I hope that the Tyrants will expand their influence in the future books and that they will have an impact an the game aswell. My dream would be a 6th faction lead by the tyrants but thats highly unlikely and maybe asked to much. Ahh and i have a question. In book 3 Nicodem hints that Sebastian is only playing dumb, way would he do that? Is he just lazy? Does he have a agenda of his own?

Its definetly a thing of preference i agree . I think i'll try out how you play the good doctor this weekend because i have yet to experience to rouge necromany ingame.

To add something else. You can constantly chop up the rider for body parts and heal him back up and i usually summon a flesh construct turn 2 or 3 when i reach meele. I also think they serve a different purpose but i generally don't field the construct from the start but maybe im just doing it wrong..

I have some gathered some McMourning experience in the last few months and i have to save i am a big fan of the dead rider as my tank/soak instead of the flesh construct. It is a lot harder to kill and more mobile, i usually also link the grave Spirit to it. Hard to Wound 2, Armor 2 and the potential to heal 3 wounds a turn with his Spell makes him the best resser tank, if not the best tank in the whole game, in my opinion. I usually use the rider to scare my oponnent (believe my they are scared of him) and to shield McMourning till he arrives in meele to chop things up or to transform into AMcMourning. Who is the strongest meele Avatar if you ask me.

I will probably change my list when i play AMarkus. More Meele oriented models and less mobile critters to set up the AMarkus alpha strike tactic of doom.
