  1. I have played a LOT of games in my time. Here are my current favorites: WARGAMES Malifaux Suprise! I love how characterful Mailfaux is. I play Arcanists and Outcasts. Infinity Highly balanced factions and an excellent if slightly complicated rules system. I play PanOceania and Nomads ROLE PLAYING GAMES Really my biggest hobby Savage Worlds Rules light and usable for just about any story that I want to tell. All Flesh Must Be Eaten I am currently running a game that is similiar to the Walking Dead. World of Darkness I have played lots of Old WoD and New WoD, but Vampire the Requiem is my favorite. Mutants and Masterminds Best superhero game I know of. BOARD GAMES Way too many to list, but here are two of my favorites Power Grid An excellent resource managament game. Tigris & Euphrates An excellent strategy game.
  2. I have often felt that the homepage needs an introduction to wargaming and to playing Malifaux. There is an brief introduction to the world of Malifaux and a quick description of the mechanics of the game, but not enough, in my opinion, to draw a non-wargamer into the game. In a several emails to my friends, I have mentioned that I play Malifaux and included a link to the homepage. A lot of my friends are wargamers, but many are not. Some are gamers, but do not play wagames. Some are not gamers at all. I think many of them would be more interested in playing Malifaux if they could better grasp the game from looking at this website. Of course, the best way for them to learn the game is for me to teach it to them, but I imagine that there are a fair amount of non-wargamers that stumble across the website every day. Also, for what it's worth, I would consider replacing the artwork of the Red Joker on the homepage. It seems a little lackluster compared to of all the great artwork that has been produced for this game since the image of the Red Joker was created. I understand that the a picture of the Red Joker also emphasizes one of the unique elements of the game, that it is played with cards, but I think that you really want to put your best foot forward on the homepage. Otherwise, people checking out the game might just click away.
  3. Woot! It will be good to game with you again!
  4. Count me in! :+fate! I am gearing up for one of the tournaments at GenCon, so I will be happy for a little more practice before I get there! (I am going to need it!) By the way, great looking flyer!
  5. I am planning to be there! I had a lot of fun at the last tournament you ran (even though I was crushed miserably), so I am looking forward to this one!
  6. Poor Zoraida doesn't get any love!
  7. Yeah, them and Zoraida! lol!
  8. Arrr! Pirates be welcome here, but I not be trusting the walking dead! Arrr! Thanks for the welcome, LonelyPath! Anyone who goes by Longshanks is alright by me! Thanks for saying hi, Manicmac! I ordered Snowstorm from coolminiornot.com on Thursday of last week, they shipped it on Friday, and I have had it since Monday. Great service. Overall, I am very impressed with Snowstorm. The sculpt is great. The resin is of good quality. There were a few bubbles to fill with green stuff with and a nasty mold line through his mane, but nothing that couldn't be fixed. Again, I am very pleased with the model. My mini painting skills are only meager, so don't be expecting any great works of art from me. I consider most of my models adequate for the table top, but no where near as good as most of the people I play against or I see posted here. It's funny. I was originally an art major in college, but my skills with oil painting, sculpting, and digital artwork haven't helped me much with painting miniatures.
  9. Hey CrimsonWraith! Thanks for saying hi! I am looking forward to our game on Sunday. I don't have to rush out this week, so we might get two games in. I have Snowstorm now and I am very eager to try it out. Malifaux fever has really grabbed me big time. I am getting ready for GenCon and just about all I do in my free time is paint Malifaux right now. I am also looking forward to the Lacroix younglings. Not long now! I also plan to pick up the pigapult. I have been slowly gathering models to field with Som'er Teeth, but I haven't played him, yet. I have to admit that the sculpt for Zoraida frightens me, but I guess that it's supposed to. lol
  10. Thanks for the welcome, LoboStele! See you at GenCon! Hey Xango! Good to see you here! Yes, Malifaux and Infinity are my two favorite wargames as well. I have had to take a little break from Infinity, though. I was teaching a lot of people in my area how to play; answering all their emails. It was beginning to be a bit of a chore. Right now, I am mostly playing Malifaux, but I imagine that I will play Infinity as well, soon. Again, good to see you here!
  11. I have started playing Malifaux a lot and been posting on the boards, so I thought I should say hello. I started playing Malifaux shortly after it first came out. I was interested in the Gremlins, but was told that Som'er Teeth was tricky to play, so I went with Rasputina, my second choice. I had a lot of fun with her, but had to put Malifaux aside for awhile as life reared it's ugly head. I started playing again about a month ago after I saw the announcement for Snow Storm on Tabletop Gaming News. (Great model! I am building mine right now.) First thing I did was pick up Ophelia and the Lacroix. There are two things that drew me to Malifaux. First, I love skirmish wargames. I prefer that each of my models have their own personality than fielding dozens and dozens of troops. Also, its a lot cheaper and quicker to paint a Crew than an army. The second thing that drew me to Malifaux was how characterful the various models were. I love how unique and interesting they all are while still united by the same victorianwesternsteampunkhorror theme. And l like the humor that weaves it's way through the models. Like I said, I play Gremlins. I guess that's about it. I chose Longshanks for a name because I am tall and have long legs, not because I have anything against the Scots. lol. I plan to go to Gen Con and play in the Master of Malifaux tournament. Hope to see some of you there!
  12. That's a pretty big model! How tall is Snowstorm to the top of Storm's head and to the top of his antlers?
  13. Right. My thinking, too. Just want to make sure she is not considered a proxy (and thereby not allowed.) PS Thanks for all the great resources on your webpage! I have both Rising Powers and a Silent One with her stat card. In fact, I plan to field a Silent One in the Master of Malifaux tournament. I just want to use Snow as one, too, so that I don't have two of the same sculpt on the table. Still hoping for some kind of official ruling. I am pretty excited about the Master of Malifaux tournament and would hate to have a nasty surprise when I get there.
  14. I heard that puppets can be used as their corresponding miniature in Malifaux (without being considered a proxy), so hopefully this is okay, too.
  15. 1. If Snow (of Snow Storm) was placed on a 30 mm base could she be played as a Silent One in an official tournament? I am not sure if she would be considered a conversion (allowed) or a proxy (not allowed). I am just interested in fielding a second Silent One with Rasputina in the Master of Malifaux tournament at GenCon and I would prefer not to have two of the same sculpt on the table. I thought Snow was a good choice since she used to be a Silent One before she was bonded to Storm. 2. If I can play Snow as a Silent One how should I handle her stat card? Obviously, I won't have a Silent One card for Snow since she doesn't come with one. I could order one from Wyrd (the shipping is a little pricy, but not a bad option) or I could use a place holder for her (a blank card or a card with her picture on it to flip after she's been activated) and read her stats off my regular Silent One's card. It would be great to get an official ruling, so that I don't show up at GenCon thinking everything is fine and then find out I am disqualified or something. Thanks for the help! longshanks
  16. Thanks, SuicideCommmando, but Malifauxcurr and I just concluded our transaction. Thanks, Malifauxcurr, for making the transaction so easy, and thanks for Gremlinette!
  17. Malifauxcurr, I just sent you a PM. I had a little trouble with Wyrd's PM system, so I also sent you a Vistor Message that you can access by viewing your profile.
  18. Hello Wyrdlings, I am interested in buying a new, unpainted Malifaux Gremlinette with it's stat card for $100US. The transaction would have to be conducted through Paypal. If the seller is in the US, the mini would need be shipped expediated shipping with a tracking number, such as USPS Priority Mail. If the seller is outside the US, we can negotiate the shipping. $100US is my best offer for the mini, it's stat card, and shipping. Thanks, longshanks
  19. Thanks, Crimson Wraith, for hosting this! I look forward to more Malifaux in Broomfield!
  20. Thanks, Nate, for running the tournament! I had a blast!
