  1. ...OWCH. That would suck for the opponent.
  2. I have a couple more questions, if you will. Would Alps work with her? Her Suffer! ability causes a Wp-duel (therefore 1Wd from Emotional Trauma) and gives Slow, which would cause more wounds from the Alps from Feed on Dreams. Plus the Alps themselves cause Wp-duels from being around from Smother. Would a viable tactic be then, if my opponent castles up as he often does, to charge towards him, Manifest directly in front of him and throw some Alps at him? And if this is true, I might as well pick up Coppelius as well, I've heard he's good with Pandy.
  3. Awesome. Thank you people for the tips!
  4. Well, to me it's logical. She can't move, so put her in a place where she's useful XD So, Pandora's more hit-and-run, and the Avatar is more take-and-hold? OK, I can see that being useful late-game.
  5. That's fine by me! I don't mind about lessened ability, I could guess at that from the -/- Wk/Cg values. But, I'm just thinking on how to use the 'fun' piece to still be able to put up a fight. If I took Stake A Claim, then Manifested on the terrain I nominated, that would get me the scheme pretty handily. Oh, another question. If I took Pandora's scheme (Spread Madness), and Manifested before fulfilling it, could I say the Self-Destruction spell counts as the Self-Loathing spell? As it is essentially an evolution of that spell.
  6. I got the model, because it is fantastic (and a pain to put together, incidentally.) but I'm wondering how to best use her in game. I don't like owning models that I don't use regularly, especially one as intricate as this. Any tips? Also, aCandy's Sweets ability states 'this does not cause the model to lose Harmless'. aCandy never had Harmless to begin with... she has Irresistible instead. Why would the action need to state that?
  7. But Teddy's count as Nightmares when with the Dreamer, don't they?
  8. I think anything beyond 4 or 5 is really pushing into spam territory by Malifaux standards. And I think spam isn't as prevalent in Malifaux as in other game systems, because of the lack of options. In 40k, for example, you take one unit that's pretty much good at anything, and multiply it by 6. In Malifaux, there isn't one single guy that's good at everything (comparatively), so you have to take more different specialist models to make up for that. This also makes the game somewhat more tactical than 40k, as it's much harder to compensate for your only specialist unit if you lose it, than one of an all-purpose unit.
  9. My immediate thought was also Von Schill. If you can find a vivid colour that looks good on them, then you're sorted.
  10. You're right, it isn't out, my bad. But it could be worth proxying just to see how Waldgeist/aLilith work Yeah, from what I know you get a Black Blood Shaman to kill them (1 Blood), they can use the Corpse counter as Blood counters (2 Blood), and Nekima gains a Blood counter when a living creature is killed nearby (3 Blood). That's enough to make a Tot (3SS) into a Mature (10ss)[5SS gain], or 3 Tots (9SS) into Young (18SS)[7SS gain]
  11. Just looking at logistics, we have 6 Henchmen and 20 masters (roughly) Which means there are 26 x 26 = 676 different Master v. Master combinations, plus mirror matches. And the current suggestion is to play all of these games, lets say at least twenty times each to gain any insight into the balance and test most minion and Avatar combinations. That's over 13,000 games to play. Assuming that a single tournament has 30 players and 5 games (is this reasonable?), that's 150 games. So to test every single combination even once, that's 5 tournaments at least, assuming every single game plays a different Master v. Master combination. To test them thouroughly (the twenty times mentioned before) that's 90 tournaments worth of nothing but test matches. This is all assuming that people bring a variety of masters, and all Masters have equal numbers of games against every other master, which simply wouldn't happen in competitive tournaments. Even though I agree the SS caches could be tweaked to balance the Book 1 masters with the later Book 2 masters, the sheer number of matches required will take a long time to implement, and then reviewing the data and double-checking the required 'fixes' will take even longer.
  12. With Nekima, I'd say she isn't worth getting unless you wish to have a growth list (Desperate Mercs for blood counters to grow Terror Tots). Otherwise she's just a larger, more expensive Mature Neph. Waldgeists, I don't know about. But they come packs of 2, so you can try one or two, and if not sell them to a local Marcus or Zoraida player. Could try them with her Avatar.
  13. No, for two reasons. (correct me if I'm wrong) One, a Companion(Terry) totem can only be taken by Terry etc. Two, a Voodoo Doll has to be made by Zoraida herself using her action.
  14. Not technically true, the town is called Saint-Genest-Malifaux, so it's perfectly logical for the residents to be called Genésiens, and doesn't really answer the question. However, it is exceedingly interesting, and I thankee for finding it!
  15. Citizens of Malifaux... less complicated
  16. Well, let's look at the list. Levi Hoffman Ramos Kirai Lilith Dreamer Levi. Hate the model, not too sure of the playstyle, love the Avatar. I'd say leave him Hoffman. Seems cool, can't summon, can't use all of the constructs. I haven't heard of him going well with Lucius (Lucius needs Guardsman or Elite Division to really work), so maybe consider him. Ramos. Seems cool but doesn't suit your playstyle. I'd say pick him up and try to find a playstyle within his playstyle (Play-ception!) that you like. Kirai is a back-up choice. Fair enough. Lilith seems cool, you like her playstyle. I play Lilith mainly, and she does focus on fast, hit-and-run style play, so perhaps you like that. Dreamer I've picked up but yet to have a game with. He's complicated but pretty easy to use once the main play mechanic is learned, from what I can see. So, I'd recommend either Ramos or Lilith, based on what you've said.
  17. I'd have to agree, if I know the list you mean, that's pretty nasty XD
  18. With (0)Link, it specifies it ends when the model takes a walk action or out of base contact. So, even though the Action is removed at the end of the turn, the Link effect remains.
  19. I'm imagining it's rather colourful. My opponent was the same when I started with Pandora. ...I play Lilith now...
  20. Pacify states "If successful, this action may be used again this activation" A seperate effect, Fading Memory, allows Pandora to push 4" when she wins a Wp duel (such as the duel generated through Pacify). So, if you win the WP duel from pacify, you will push 4" (cause a wound through Emotional Trauma) and have the ability to Pacify again during your activation. This is the basis of Pandora's mobility and general pain.
  21. If in doubt, the Viktorias will pick up any mercenary in their crew, and still beat face happily enough.
  22. Well, Dreamer should be fun when I drop LCB and 3 fresh Teddies in his face I've been on the receiving end of both, and while the Rogue Necromancy probably caused more damage to me overall and also was more awkward to kill (being made a spirit by Kirai), I was more worried by the Dead Rider because it had the mobility to keep up with my Neverborn and harass me. Personally, I'd say their different models for different purposes. Rogue Necromancy will hold a door until kingdom come, and Dead Rider will happily gallop around all day.
  23. I'm using PW Teddies as my Daydreams - it fits my Teddy theme. Problem is, I didn't get the third card I needed :/
  24. I like these. Colour selection is nice and the execution is clean and smooth. A question, how do the Ronin work for VS in game?
