  1. Is that also true for showgirls that flip weak damage? edit: Looks like this was answered in another thread. OK then!
  2. Hmm. I'm still confused by this, actually. Shell Game says that the real Colette and the two decoys all activate together. Neither Shell Game nor the decoy itself says anything about not activating a decoy at this time just because it's been revealed. In fact, the line "... but do not have to spend AP to Pass unless revealed as a Decoy" sounds to me like a revealed decoy does still activate with the other two. Am I missing something? It makes sense that a revealed decoy wouldn't participate in the shell game shenanigans, but I'm not seeing the rule. Oh, and thanks for the reply. I was afraid my post had been forgotten.
  3. And if some ability in the future lets you channel a (0), the doxy will be ready!
  4. Ah, are they? I don't have the cards, and in the book Nemo and Chompy replace just like the coryphee do. That would cause other problems, though (like making wounds carry over) so placing makes more sense.
  5. She is such a complicated lady. I just want to make sure I have a handle on how she works. 1) Shell Game says that the three models activate simultaneously. This means that they do start of activation at the same time, then do their stuff and end-activations in sequence, yes? Just like other stuff with simultaneous activations. 2) Shell Game says they can spend at most 6 general AP across the three of them. Fast(+1) counts against this because it adds a general AP, yes? So you could, for example, have two models take 3AP each, or all three take 2AP each, or one take 3, one take 2, one take 1, right? 3) Each model gets to take its own (0), right? (Except they can't cast Sublime Performance twice since no spell can be cast twice) 4) If one of the models gets reactivate, it'll just take an action by itself and ignore all the shell game shenanigans? 5) If one of the decoys gets revealed before the trio activates, does it still participate in the shell game? Shell game says that once a decoy is revealed, it's no longer exempt from taking pass actions, so does that mean a revealed decoy is forced to use up some of the 6AP on walk/pass? What if the other two models already used up all the AP? 6) Not really a rules question, but I'm just curious, why bother changing the artificial soulstone rule? Would it be a big deal if she got her 1 free soulstone for the turn on a reactivate activation?
  6. Does this contradict the answer Ratty gave me about how many (0) actions the Coryphee Duet can take, or is the Dreamer a different case? He said that when you replace the Coryphees with the Duet, the (0) actions that the individuals used count against what the Duet can do. What is different in Chompy's case?
  7. Hey now, you have to cut GW some slack. It's hard to sculpt women when you're working without reference material.
  8. What if there are more than two players? Who is the opposing player?
  9. And one last double check, since the area is infinitely high, that string can go up and over obstacles to trace the route to the model, yes? So, basically, only things completely closed off from the aura/pulse are unaffected.
  10. And if no one is activating them? Who handles their resist flips and so on?
  11. Just to check, by 'trace a line' do you mean 'trace a line that doesn't pass through anything that blocks LOS'?
  12. ... You know what, I don't have an excuse here. Somehow, I got it in my head that the Duet is placed, rather than replaced, even though I've argued about how the replace rules affect how many (0) actions it can take. Yes, I'm wrong here, and I'm sorry for the confusion.
  13. Yeah? Do a search, then, and see if I'm wrong. (Spoiler: I'm not.) The slaughter rule says that a model that replaces other models is worth the points of the models it replaces. That's all well and good, but the duet doesn't actually replace models. It doesn't meet the condition. Thus it's only worth as many points as are printed on its card, i.e. none, and for basically the same reason that the mannequin's not worth any points. edit: OK, so that link is a bit old. But still, I did search, and I haven't been able to find anyone official say that the duet is worth points now, and the new rules for slaughter in the RM really don't apply to the duet. I've found people SAYING it does, but that doesn't make it so.
  14. Mannequin isn't even the worst Collette can do in a Slaughter. The Coryphee Duet is worth 0 once they dance together. Collette makes up for her relative difficulty killing things by not giving up many points in return.
  15. And really, at this point what is there left to be afraid of?
