  2. Yep, go for it. So this is now open to non-GT players who would like to come along. Everyone (including GT players) has until Friday 10th October to buy a ticket. After that, the event is closed.

  4. Thanks Less than a week to go, then I will open it up. The final drop dead date for tickets will be the 10th October as I need to confirm final numbers with the caterers.
  5. I'll be running a demo next Wednesday 24th September at York Garrison: Location: The Folk Hall, Hawthorn Terrace, New Earswick, York, YO32 4AQ 1900 onwards.
  6. Sam (Secondbreky) and I are going to be running Heartfaux 2 charity tournament on Saturday May 9th 2015 at York Garrison Wargaming Club (same room as the GT). This is the second Heartfaux charity tournament, following this years successful event where we raised almost £300 for the British Heart Foundation. It's a fairly basic format (no henchman games this year most of you will be pleased to know ), 3 rounds at 50SS per round, fixed faction. Due to time constraints I can't make it a 4 round event this time so it's just a 3 round event. The tournament aim is 2 fold: 1- Play fun games of Malifaux 2- Raise money for the British Heart Foundation, which will be done via https://www.justgiving.com/Heartfaux I'm sure we'll have some other stuff going on on the day, Artist Dave may be making an appearance again this year, and there will be the usual prize raffle. Cost of the event is £15, but this doesn't include lunch (same as last year). This will be split to cover room costs, prizes and the rest going to the BHF (aiming for £5 per player donation). Payment details are in the rulespack (make sure you send the money AS A GIFT), and payment is the way the secure your place. Lunch-wise, there's a cafe on site (still sorting out the details for that what will be on offer), but there's also Tescos/KFC/BK/McD within a 5 minute drive. I'm starting with 32 places, since we have enough tables already at the club and I'll take it from there based on interest. We sold 24 last year, so I'd like to do even better than that this year. I will more than likely need some assistance with terrain however.   7. Just a reminder about this event for the GT. The deadline for payment for GT players is two weeks from today (1st October). Post 1st Oct, I will open it up to others (Mike's +1, Aidan, John W etc.) who aren't playing yet but are coming along. My drop dead date for ticket sales with be the 10th October so I can confirm numbers with the caterer. Entry will be advance ticket only.

  12. Yes, I was planning on doing it after 1st October. Which is a timely reminder as it's 1 month from today. If you're planning on coming then please get on this! If you're not planning on coming then also let me know that as well as it'll help with my planning.

  14. If you want to drive a bit, then you'd be most welcome to come over to York for games. We've got two clubs in York that regularly play Malifaux: York Wargames Society (Monday) and York Garrison (Wednesday, this is where you usually find me).

  16. Yep, the best way is to find those in the local area who also play (Twitter is ideal) and split lifts with them. There's a few tournament regulars in Derby on the forums (Malal and Pierowmaniac for example).
  17. It's definitely something to think about, as it's only a 3 round event. As you say Joel, splitting it means more prizes to get in terms of trophies (extra 4), the admin is probably not that much more really, it'd just be two spreadsheets instead of one big one. It does present me more challenges around drop outs as there's a possibility one half will drop to less than the 28 required for full rankings points. Let me give it more thought.
