  1. i painted one up recently.. meh... dont think he looks like the hulkster all that much? stay away from yellowish and red clothing and i think your fine... the original sorta has this scheme. then its a little more hulkamania.. but that gas mask version is unbelievably awesome.
  2. nice rusty blades... they look forgotten.
  3. the ol' magna bases.... lookin sharp buddy.
  4. YYYYYYYEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!! i mean... NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
  5. a good friend of mine once told me: never trust a man whose shirt is darker than his tie... re-worded it would go something like... never trust a man whose vest is darket than his suite... cool stuff.. ---------- Post added at 09:19 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:18 AM ---------- spriit is awesome too... nice touch making the skele slightly darker than the white flames to make them seem really intense!
  6. nice... the little cross hatch on that little puppety guys right leg = very nice little touch adds a lot of visual texture without doing very much...
  7. got some stuff buttoned up: Seby and some doggies! Von Schill although these guys are for a friend... I promise.... I havent crossed that line yet... lol: finally... my wagon marker i made and printed a'la 3D styleez... If you wanna see more shots and angles... make sure to check out: www.livetocrush.com
  8. yea... i guess i hear ya mako... it is plain out wrong... i get that... again.. its a process thing where your making stuff and doing things etc... to mold 10 ghaki is a pain in the but... your right its like choosing to buy from a LGS you are supporting something you love and not stealing cheating... i take back my suggestion... i guess i come at it from a mold your own stuff mold bits of things to create new monstrocities and projects etc etc... i never really think about mass casting stuff that is someone elses... ---------- Post added at 08:41 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:40 AM ---------- so i dont consider what i do stealing but in certain ways abusing things is downright wrong... ultimately i suggest sculpting your own awesome bases and then mass casting them.
  9. i use a stuff called smooth-on... it works really well i suggest trying it... i say mold the bases. i get the copy right infringement thing and i get your ripping someone elses stuff off and i get that, especially being a maker of things myself but the other option is to pay a lot for all the bases... you could spend that money buying other products from the company instead. ive casted things and parts of other things before to use in multitudes of projects. i would however highly recommend not selling the stuff.. in fact its kind of like burning cd's. i dont think its technically illegal if your using it for personal use after owning the original set of bases.. also a base is usually a one part mold... simple... once you get into two part molds or 3 part etc etc... it becomes far more disadvantageous compared to your time and money. i just got done snapping a bunch of pics of my last molding operation... i will post up my process on my blog in the next few days ... www.livetocrush.com
  10. finally... here she is... you can read a little more about the process here: http://blog.livetocrush.net/2013/02/28/wha-wha-wha-wagon-time/
  11. meh... casted and put it together.... didnt come out super great.. will put up pics when i get a chance... but im designing one now with 3D software and it looks a lot more promising. will keep updating as it goes..
  12. this crazy crew is ct based : (we've been malifauxing pretty exclusively for the last year or so... http://blog.livetocrush.net/ maybe come down sometime and get a game in... or meet up at flagship... i keep meaning to get there for some games.
  13. yope - check these out.... http://www.westwindproductions.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=204_229 also just casted the one i molded a few seconds ago after it dries i will glue it together and take a pic... if you want some i could easily cast more..
  14. i dont know exactly how many you need but i've started making a bunch, molded a bunch the other day and im going to cast some and see how they come out... let me know if you need some maybe we could work out a trade or something? check out what ive been doing here: http://blog.livetocrush.net/2013/02/06/sculpting-update/
  15. Here are some finished shots of Mcmourning.. didnt like him at first but he's actually really growing on me and in the end i really like the color scheme... ---------- Post added at 09:15 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:14 AM ---------- Here... doggie doggie.. ---------- Post added at 09:15 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:15 AM ---------- sneak peek at dead rider: ---------- Post added at 09:16 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:15 AM ---------- some corpse counters and such: workin on a wagon to cast in plastic if anyone wants some maybe we can trade!?
  16. made a little err tiny bit of progress with my owlbear and snake man stalker... but i actually started trying to sculpt a bunch of other stuff... 1. to get my chops up... 2. to make some markers and terrain i could cast... heres some shots: owlbear/stalker update: book counter, sign post, stake claim marker, bag o' soulstones: evidence counters (clue style!?), gravestones, body parts, corpse, dynamite beginnings of a wagon to mold and cast: some sculpy armatures for sculpting walls, barrels, crates, coffins, casket, etc. this stuff is fun! but i gotta hand it to all the folks out there doing some crazy amazing stuff! its not easy... working this small!? i never had trouble making clay sculptures, wax, stone, etc... but the scale is crazy? i keep wanting to go bigger than i should.. one thing that ive learned and has been helping is to create small shapes, blobs, or hotdogs and them press them onto your form and build up from there.. also seems like bits at a time is far better than trying to sculpt the whole thing at once cuz your fingers just squash everything... oh.. and slight mod to dead rider.... feedback and criticism welcome! thanks-
  17. wow... guess i missed emm all... i got in and asked the henchman at the tourney if anyone was around looking for pick-up games and he said no... so i waited around at the tables for a bit and chatted with some friends saw no one was there playing.. my bad.. maybe it was going on somewhere else but i figured no meant no... the tourney looked like a ton of fun though.. as for silly not havin a badge... yea.. absolutely.. but..... ive gone to t-con for like the last 4 years for the weekend and this time around i only had the day... we couldnt get there early enough for the tourney and after hearing there was no one there for pick up games we decided to just leave instead of payin $30 to stand around for another half hour and leave... just didnt work out this year and it would not have been worth the cash... i do wish i could afford to support the cause but without doing anything we decided it wasnt the thing to do... next year the plan is full weekend again, hopefully.
  18. Dropped by for a quick second... good to meet ya silas.... tables were much better than what i saw last year... was a little bummed no one was kickin around lookin for pick up games... me and my buds were gonna play, but ran into the law.... (also known as we got kicked out for not havin badges) haha.... oh well, hopefully next year will be bigger... although warmahordes has that con wrapped up... so seems like not too many malifaux players? anyway the games i observed for the little while i was there looked pretty good... hope everyone had a good time. ---------- Post added at 07:27 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:26 AM ---------- also? no zombie malifaux on saturday? thought that would of been cool..
  19. how do they compare to bicycle cards and the like? ive been wanting a deck that is legit cards... wyrd cards are either too papery like the faction decks, or too thin and slippery like the puppet and old school style decks... it makes it very hard to do card tricks and flourishes... been wanting to get a legit deck made and am curious on the comparison? thanks... great stuff by the way.
  20. that sounds awesome.... and perfect.... thanks I-wall... i will be there and try to get some games in!
  21. hey, pretty sure i will be at templecon on saturday... im thinking about gettin in on the tourney but im only there 1 day so 10 - 5 may be a bit too long... is anyone gonna be there for pick up games? would love to learn some malifaux play and meet some more players in the new england area... im a pretty new player in terms of amount of games played? is the zombie challenge allow you to bring your own crews to the table? that sounds really fun too.. thanks... seeya.
  22. Here goes nothin! My first attempt at sculpting... Since it has to be flying monster im going for owlbear! Hopefully when i finally get my nicodem crew in it will be owl focused instead of vulture focused... i have a pair of barred owls that frequent my back yard and it really is a lovely critter... so im hoping this will be a stand in for a flesh construct but as i get things going i think it may have to be put on a 50mm base so.. it may be a rogue necromancy.. in the end i hope to make it undead and sort of stitched-constructed together!? im also working on a 30mm witchling stalker for my buddy... he turned his 3 into harry potter themed guys... ones griffindor ones raven(whatever) and the other is hufflepuffle? but he's missing slitherin - so obviously a half snake half withchling stalker will be awesome... and with the wire bits for armatuers.... snake coil... and lower legs and upper arms for now..
  23. here he is with brown apron... think i may like this one... although i would use a less orange brown... and then with a darker brown shirt...
  24. thanks.... hmm... still undecided on what to do... yea i dont get the gored up hands while he's putting gloves on either but the wyrd model had it and i thought it looked cool... even considering orange hair at this point... i guess my problem is that i wanted to do something a bit different with this guy and add a little flare but maybe tried and try and simple colors is the way to go with this guy... whatever... i guess im also ok with having a model thats not the greatest either.. as far as sebby goes i think that maybe the decision is more about whether i want to go for laughs or not? back to thinking. ---------- Post added at 01:02 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:51 AM ---------- i guess the thing is that mcmo looks like a crazy doctor, doctor... not so much an insane morgue master.... hmmm.... dont know if this is good or bad... oh well.
