So Im waiting on my tokens to come in and then Ill be ready for my first ever game of Malifaux. I have to crew boxes painted (Lilith and Seamus) and two crews im currently working on (Pandora and Tara). I also have a Mature and 2 Young Nephilims painted andin the mail I have a box of The Hanged an Canine Remains. Now I need some advice on how to play my first game. I was planning on stickingwith the Seamus starter vs. the Lilith starter but when both players are still learning the game should they use any/some or none of the strategies or schemes? Are there any other mechanics best left for when we have played a few games?

So I have The Lilith box set and The Nephilim box and I just foundation out that Mr. Graves is a Nephilim too. Should I add him to my crew or do the other Nephilim (young/mature) à similor/better role on the table?

Hello, I don't know if your still looking but I have: 2x Dead doxies 2x Canine Remains (blister 1) 2x Canine Remains (blister 2) However they are unpainted (the doxies have been pinned to their base with a Wyrd Victorian base insert). The Canine Remains are unassembled and unpainted. Edit: I could paint them for you but it would take some time, also I don't think I have any Victorian base inserts for the dogs.

Even though I have been visiting this forum and painting the Malifaux miniatures for years I still haven't played a game. With the new M2E rules I started considering playing for real but being a notoriously slow painter and refusing to play with unpainted miniatures keeps me from playing my first game. I am reading the rules though. I was just wondering since me and my main opponent are just starting out in Malifaux and Tara along with Seamus being my first crews is Tara a negative play experience for someone starting out? I mean not being able to play with one of your own miniatures because it is buried doesn't seem like a lot of fun for my opponent. and to a lesser extent not being able to target a miniatures that can pop up out of nowhere to hurt your crew also doesn't sound like a fun time. So is Tara a NPE? (I'm asking because the other crew I'm interested in is Pandora and I've heard she also is a NPE)
